कांगड़ा जिले के ढलियारा में आज एक बड़ा हादसा पेश आया है। नवरात्र पर मां चामुंडा मंदिर में लंगर सेवा के लिए जा रहे बठिंडा के श्रद्धालुओं का ट्रक ढलियारा के पास पलट गया। जिसमें दो श्रद्धालुओं की मौत हो गई, जबकि 20 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए हैं। इनमें छह गंभीर घायलों को टांडा मेडिकल कॉलेज रेफर किया गया है। जबकि बाकी घायलों का इलाज सिविल अस्पताल देहरा में चल रहा है।जानकारी के अनुसार, श्रद्धालुओं से भरा ट्रक बठिंडा से चामुंडा मंदिर की ओर जा रहा था। रास्ते में यह ट्रक धर्मशाला से होशियारपुर की ओर जा रही एचआरटीसी बस से टकरा गया। टक्कर के बाद चालक ने वाहन को रोकने की बजाय तेज रफ्तार में भगाने की कोशिश की। इसी दौरान कुछ श्रद्धालु डर के कारण चलते-चलते ट्रक से कूद गए।

दुर्घटना के तुरंत बाद स्थानीय लोगों ने राहत और बचाव कार्य शुरू किया और घायलों को निजी वाहनों व एंबुलेंस 108 की मदद से अस्पताल पहुंचाया। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही एसपी देहरा मयंक चौधरी, डीएसपी देहरा शुमायला चौधरी और एसडीएम देहरा कुलवंत सिंह पोटन मौके पर पहुंचे और हालात का जायजा लिया। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। उन्होंने कहा कि मैं यह साफ करना चाहता हूं कि गुड्स गाड़ियों (सामान ढोने वाले वाहनों) में श्रद्धालुओं या यात्रियों को ले जाना पूरी तरह प्रतिबंधित है। इस तरह की लापरवाही से बड़ी दुर्घटनाएं घट सकती हैं। आज ही पुलिस विभाग की बैठक में सभी थाना प्रभारियों को सख्त आदेश दिए जाएंगे कि गुड्स वाहनों में श्रद्धालुओं या आम यात्रियों को किसी भी हालत में सफर न करने दिया जाए। अगर कोई नियमों का उल्लंघन करता है तो उसपर सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

A major accident occurred today in Dhaliara, Kangra district. A truck carrying devotees from Bathinda, who were traveling to the Chamunda Temple for langar service during Navratri, overturned near Dhaliara. Two devotees were killed and more than 20 others were injured. Six seriously injured were referred to Tanda Medical College, while the remaining injured are being treated at Civil Hospital, Dehra. According to reports, the truck carrying devotees was traveling from Bathinda to the Chamunda Temple. On the way, it collided with an HRTC bus traveling from Dharamshala to Hoshiarpur. After the collision, instead of stopping the vehicle, the driver attempted to accelerate. Some devotees, frightened, jumped from the moving truck.

Immediately after the accident, local residents began relief and rescue operations, transporting the injured to the hospital using private vehicles and Ambulance 108. Upon receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dehra Mayank Chaudhary, DSP Dehra Shumayla Chaudhary, and SDM Dehra Kulwant Singh Potan arrived at the scene and assessed the situation. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. He stated, “I want to make it clear that transporting pilgrims or passengers in goods vehicles is strictly prohibited. Such negligence can lead to major accidents. In a meeting of the police department today, strict orders will be issued to all station heads that under no circumstances should pilgrims or ordinary passengers be allowed to travel in goods vehicles. Anyone violating these rules will face strict action.”
