प्रदेश सरकार ने शिक्षा के स्तर व गुणवत्ता मानकों को बढ़ाने और विद्यार्थियों को भविष्य की चुनौतियों के लिए बेहतर रूप से तैयार करने के दृष्टिगत राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में सीबीएसई (केन्द्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड) पाठ्यक्रम आरम्भ करने का निर्णय लिया है। पहले चरण में राज्य के 100 राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशालाएं अगले शैक्षणिक सत्र से सीबीएसई से संबद्ध की जाएंगी। प्रदेश सरकार के एक प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि यह पहल हिमाचल प्रदेश स्कूल शिक्षा बोर्ड से संबद्ध स्कूलों और सीबीएसई से संबद्ध स्कूलों के मध्य स्वस्थ प्रतिस्पर्धा को बढ़ावा देगी। इससे विद्यार्थियों और शिक्षकों को बेहतर प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रत्येक विधानसभा क्षेत्र में कम से कम एक सीबीएसई स्कूल खोला जाएगा ताकि सभी क्षेत्र के विद्यार्थी सुगमता से गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्राप्त कर सकें।

प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि सीबीएसई पाठ्यक्रम राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मान्यता प्राप्त और प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक परीक्षाओं के संदर्भ में व्यापक रूप से स्वीकार्य है। इस कदम से हिमाचली छात्रों में अकादमिक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता मजबूत होगी, उन्हें उच्च शिक्षा और पेशेवर करियर के अवसर प्राप्त होंगे साथ ही विद्यार्थियों को 21वीं सदी की चुनौतियों के लिए मदद मिलेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि इस व्यवस्था को लागू करने के लिए इन स्कूलों के लिए एक अलग सब-कैडर बनाया जाएगा। मौजूदा शिक्षकों को सीबीएसई सब-कैडर चुनने का विकल्प दिया जाएगा। प्रधानाचार्य, शिक्षक और गैर-शिक्षण कर्मचारियों का चयन योग्यता, अकादमिक उत्कृष्टता, सहपाठ्यक्रम गतिविधियों में योगदान और अन्य प्रासंगिक कारकों के आधार पर किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि कर्मचारियों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए मौद्रिक और गैर मौद्रिक दोनों प्रकार की प्रदर्शन आधारित प्रोत्साहन योजना भी आरम्भ की जाएगी।

प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू के मार्गदर्शन में प्रदेश सरकार शैक्षणिक परिणामों में सुधार, समावेशी शिक्षण वातावरण का निर्माण और विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए अनुकूल वातावरण तैयार करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने बताया कि प्रदेश सरकार का उद्देश्य राज्य के स्कूलों को न केवल हिमाचल बल्कि पूरे देश के लिए शिक्षा के उत्कृष्ट मॉडल के रूप में विकसित करना है। उन्होंने बताया कि इन सीबीएसई संबद्ध सरकारी स्कूल डे-बोर्डिंग संस्थानों के रूप में भी कार्य करेंगे और विद्यार्थियों के चहुंमुखी विकास पर विशेष ध्यान केन्द्रित करेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि अकादमिक शिक्षा के अलावा प्रदेश सरकार विद्यार्थियों के पोषण, खेलकूद, कला, कौशल विकास, सुधारात्मक शिक्षण, परामर्श, करियर मार्गदर्शन और कोचिंग पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा। इन पहलों को सफलतापूर्वक लागू करने के लिए आवश्यकता के आधार पर अतिरिक्त पद भी सृजित किए जाएंगे।

The state government has decided to introduce the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) curriculum in government senior secondary schools with a view to raising the level and quality of education and better preparing students for future challenges. In the first phase, 100 government senior secondary schools in the state will be affiliated with the CBSE from the next academic session. A state government spokesperson stated that this initiative will promote healthy competition between schools affiliated with the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education and CBSE-affiliated schools. This will encourage students and teachers to perform better. He added that at least one CBSE school will be opened in each assembly constituency so that students from all areas can easily access quality education.

The spokesperson stated that the CBSE curriculum is nationally recognized and widely accepted for competitive examinations. This initiative will strengthen the academic competitiveness of Himachali students, provide them with opportunities for higher education and professional careers, and help them meet the challenges of the 21st century. He stated that a separate sub-cadre will be created for these schools to implement this system. Existing teachers will be given the option to choose the CBSE sub-cadre. Principals, teachers, and non-teaching staff will be selected based on merit, academic excellence, contribution to co-curricular activities, and other relevant factors. He added that a performance-based incentive scheme, both monetary and non-monetary, will also be introduced to motivate employees.

The spokesperson stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is committed to improving academic outcomes, creating an inclusive learning environment, and fostering a conducive environment for the all-round development of students. He stated that the state government’s goal is to develop the state’s schools as excellent models of education not only for Himachal but for the entire country. He explained that these CBSE-affiliated government schools will also function as day-boarding institutions and will focus on the all-round development of students. He added that in addition to academic education, the state government will also focus on student nutrition, sports, arts, skill development, remedial teaching, counseling, career guidance, and coaching. Additional positions will be created as needed to successfully implement these initiatives.
