हिमाचल प्रदेश शिक्षा निदेशालय ने राज्य के सभी सरकारी स्कूलों में छात्रों और शिक्षकों द्वारा स्कूल समय में मोबाइल फोन के इस्तेमाल पर पाबंदी लगा दी है। शिक्षा विभाग का कहना है कि मोबाइल फोन पढ़ाई में सबसे बड़ी बाधा बनते जा रहे हैं और छात्रों की एकाग्रता को लगातार भंग कर रहे हैं। निदेशक विद्यालय शिक्षा द्वारा जारी आदेश में कहा गया है कि मोबाइल फोन से छात्र सोशल मीडिया में अधिक उलझते हैं। इससे उनके मानसिक और शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य पर भी असर पड़ता है। मोबाइल पर लगातार नजरें गड़ाए रखने से आंखों की समस्या, खराब मुद्रा और निष्क्रिय जीवनशैली जैसी दिक्कतें भी सामने आ रही हैं।

वहीं, कक्षाओं में फोन बजने, संदेशों और नोटिफिकेशन से पढ़ाई का माहौल बिगड़ता है और शिक्षक-छात्र संवाद भी प्रभावित होता है। शिक्षकों को भी कक्षा में पढ़ाते समय मोबाइल फोन रखने की मनाही रहेगी। वे अपने फोन स्टाफ रूम या निर्धारित सुरक्षित स्थानों में रखेंगे। स्कूल प्रबंधन को निर्देश दिए गए हैं कि वे नोटिस बोर्ड पर स्पष्ट रूप से मोबाइल फोन प्रतिबंध संबंधी निर्देश प्रदर्शित करें और इसका कड़ाई से पालन करवाएं।

The Himachal Pradesh Education Directorate has banned the use of mobile phones by students and teachers during school hours in all government schools across the state. The education department says that mobile phones are becoming a major hindrance to studies and are constantly disrupting students’ concentration. The order issued by the Director of School Education states that mobile phones cause students to become more involved in social media, which also affects their mental and physical health. Constantly staring at mobile phones can lead to eye problems, poor posture, and a sedentary lifestyle.

At the same time, ringing phones, messages, and notifications in classrooms disrupt the learning environment and affect teacher-student communication. Teachers will also be prohibited from using mobile phones while teaching in the classroom. They will keep their phones in the staff room or designated safe locations. School management has been instructed to clearly display the mobile phone ban on notice boards and ensure strict compliance.
