शहीद सोहन सिंह मेमोरियल राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय, मानपुर देवड़ा में बीते सोमवार को राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (NSS) सात दिवसीय विशेष शिविर का विधिवत समापन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य अनिल कुमार नागपाल ने की। समापन समारोह में हिमाचल प्रदेश भारतीय कबड्डी टीम के महासचिव कुलदीप राणा मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में मौजूद रहे, जबकि पर्वतारोही एवं भारतीय कबड्डी टीम की खिलाड़ी कुमारी कृतिका शर्मा तथा सिविल इंजीनियर नीरज कवर विशेष अतिथि रहे। इस अवसर पर कार्यक्रम अधिकारी विनोद कपूर और सुमन ठाकुर भी उपस्थित रहे। समारोह का शुभारंभ दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ हुआ।

मुख्य अतिथि कुलदीप राणा ने छात्रों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि शिविर के दौरान जो भी शिक्षा व अनुभव प्राप्त हुए हैं, उन्हें जीवन में अपनाना चाहिए। उन्होंने युवाओं से नशे जैसी बुरी आदतों से दूर रहकर समाज और देश की प्रगति में योगदान देने का आह्वान किया। वही विशेष अतिथि कुमारी कृतिका शर्मा ने अपने संबोधन में छात्रों को जीवन में लक्ष्य निर्धारित करने और उसे प्राप्त करने के लिए लगातार प्रयासरत रहने का संदेश दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि “सपनों को पूरा करने के लिए कोई शॉर्टकट नहीं होता। हमें कठिन मेहनत, अनुशासन और आत्मविश्वास के साथ आगे बढ़ना पड़ता है। असफलता से घबराने के बजाय उससे सीखकर अगली बार और मजबूत होकर खड़ा होना चाहिए। इस कार्यक्रम में विद्यालय प्रबंधन समिति के अध्यक्ष विक्रम तोमर, सदस्य हरविंदर सैनी, स्कूल का समस्त स्टाफ मौजूद रहा।

The seven-day special camp of National Service Scheme (NSS) was formally concluded on Monday at Shaheed Sohan Singh Memorial Government Senior Secondary School, Manpur Devda. The program was presided over by the school’s principal Anil Kumar Nagpal. Himachal Pradesh Indian Kabaddi Team General Secretary Kuldeep Rana was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony, while mountaineer and Indian Kabaddi Team player Kumari Kritika Sharma and civil engineer Neeraj Kawar were the special guests. Program officers Vinod Kapoor and Suman Thakur were also present on this occasion. The ceremony began with lighting of lamps.

Chief guest Kuldeep Rana, while addressing the students, said that whatever education and experiences they have gained during the camp should be adopted in life. He called upon the youth to contribute to the progress of society and the country by staying away from bad habits like drug addiction. In her address, special guest Kumari Kritika Sharma gave the message to the students to set goals in life and keep striving to achieve them. She said, “There are no shortcuts to fulfilling dreams. We have to move forward with hard work, discipline and confidence. Instead of being afraid of failure, we should learn from it and stand stronger next time.” School Management Committee President Vikram Tomar, member Harvinder Saini, and the entire school staff were present in this program.
