नाहन में पार्किंग लगातार बड़ा मुद्दा बनता जा रहा है। लगातार बढ़ रही समस्या को देखते हुए नगर परिषद पार्किंग की सुविधा तो कर रही है, लेकिन दरों पर हर बार सवाल उठते हैं। ताजा मामले में अब नगर परिषद के हुए टेंडर से एक शहर में एक जैसी पार्किंग की अलग-अलग दरें हो गईं हैं। ऐसे में वाहन मालिकों में काफी रोष है। जानकारी के अनुसार अप्रैल महीने में नगर परिषद नाहन ने शहर में वाहन मालिकों को राहत प्रदान करते हुए तीन नई पार्किंग की नीलामी की दरों में भारी कटौती की थी। इस दौरान तीन पार्किंग स्थलों पक्का टैंक में कार्यालय की दोमंजिला पार्किंग, शिमला रोड पर गुन्नूघाट के समीप और मोहल्ला ढाबों की नीलामी 24,4000 रुपये में की गई थी।

नगर परिषद ने प्रतिघंटा के हिसाब से पार्किंग शुल्क तय किया है। पार्किंग स्थलों पर 2 घंटे के लिए 20 और 6 घंटे के लिए 30 तथा 12 घंटे के लिए 50 रुपये, जबकि 24 घंटे के लिए 80 रुपये वाहन पार्किंग शुल्क तय किया गया। इसके अलावा कवर्ड पार्किंग के एक महीने के लिए 1500 रुपये जबकि ओपन पार्किंग के लिए 1200 रुपये शुल्क तय किया गया। दरें तय होने के बाद इन पार्किंग स्थलों पर यह अप्रैल महीने से लागू भी हो गईं। वहीं, हाल ही में शहर की चार के करीब पार्किंग की फिर से नीलामी की गई है। इन पार्किंग को पहले के दामों से कुछ बढ़ोतरी कर नीलाम किया गया है। बताया जा रहा है कि यहां दाम कम नहीं किए गए हैं।

ऐसे में इन चारों पार्किंग स्थलों पर पहले की भांति पुराने शुल्क ही वसूल किए जा रहे हैं। इसमें प्रतिघंटे के हिसाब से 30 रुपये तथा ओपन पार्किंग के 1500 से 1800 और कवर्ड पार्किंग के 2000 से 2200 रुपये प्रतिमाह तक वसूल किए जा रहे हैं। ऐसे में अब नगर परिषद की एक ही शहर में एक जैसी पार्किंग के अलग-अलग शुल्क हो गए हैं। दरें भिन्न होने से उपभोक्ताओं में रोष है। शहरवासियों सुधीर, रवि कुमार, रजनीश आदि का कहना है कि एक शहर में एक जैसी पार्किंग के एक जैसे ही शुल्क होने चाहिए क्योंकि सभी पार्किंग नगर परिषद की हैं। अलग-अलग दाम होने से लोगों में भी असमंजस की स्थिति है। दाम ऐसे तय किए जाएं जिससे लोगों को सड़कों के किनारे वाहन पार्क न करने पड़ें।

Parking is becoming a big issue in Nahan. In view of the ever-increasing problem, the Municipal Council is providing parking facilities, but questions are raised every time on the rates. In the latest case, due to the tender of the Municipal Council, there are different rates for the same parking in the city. In such a situation, there is a lot of anger among the vehicle owners. According to the information, in the month of April, the Municipal Council Nahan had provided relief to the vehicle owners in the city by drastically reducing the auction rates of three new parking lots. During this, three parking places, the two-storey office parking in Pakka Tank, near Gunnughat on Shimla Road and Mohalla Dhabas were auctioned for Rs 24,4000.

The Municipal Council has fixed parking charges on an hourly basis. The vehicle parking charges at the parking places have been fixed at Rs. 20 for 2 hours, Rs. 30 for 6 hours, Rs. 50 for 12 hours and Rs. 80 for 24 hours. Apart from this, the fee for covered parking has been fixed at Rs. 1500 for one month and Rs. 1200 for open parking. After the rates were fixed, these were implemented at these parking places from the month of April. At the same time, recently around four parking lots of the city have been auctioned again. These parking lots have been auctioned with some increase from the earlier rates. It is being told that the prices have not been reduced here.

In such a situation, the same old charges are being levied at these four parking places as before. In this, 30 rupees per hour and 1500 to 1800 rupees for open parking and 2000 to 2200 rupees per month for covered parking are being charged. In such a situation, now the Municipal Council has different charges for similar parking in the same city. Consumers are angry due to the different rates. City residents Sudhir, Ravi Kumar, Rajneesh etc. say that there should be uniform charges for similar parking in a city because all the parking lots belong to the Municipal Council. There is confusion among the people due to different rates. Rates should be fixed in such a way that people do not have to park their vehicles on the roadside.
