मंडी जिले के सुंदरनगर उपमंडल की निहरी तहसील के ब्रगटा गांव में बीती रात एक दर्दनाक हादसा हुआ। यहां भूस्खलन की चपेट में आने से तीन लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि दो लोगों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया। मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, लैंडस्लाइड एक घर के पास हुआ, जिससे पूरा घर मलबे में दब गया। हादसे के समय घर में पांच लोग मौजूद थे। इनमें से तीन की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई, जिनमें दो महिलाएं और आठ महीने का मासूम बच्चा शामिल है। मृतकों की पहचान 64 वर्षीय तांगू देवी पत्नी जय सिंह, 33 वर्षीय कमला देवी पत्नी देव राज, 8 माह का भीष्म सिंह पुत्र देव राज, के तौर पर हुई है।

वहीं, दो लोगों को सुरक्षित निकाला गया, जिनमें 65 वर्षीय खूब राम पुत्र धनी राम, 58 वर्षीय दर्शन देवी पत्नी खूब राम शामिल हैं। पुलिस ने शवों को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है। एसपी मंडी साक्षी वर्मा ने हादसे की पुष्टि की है। गौरतलब है कि इससे पहले भी सुंदरनगर उपमंडल के जंगमबाग में भूस्खलन की एक बड़ी घटना सामने आई थी, जिसमें 7 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी। अब उसी उपमंडल के निहरी क्षेत्र में एक और दर्दनाक हादसे ने तीन लोगों की जान ले ली है। हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही एसडीएम सुंदरनगर अमर नेगी, डीएसपी सुंदरनगर भारत भूषण और अन्य प्रशासनिक अधिकारी मौके के लिए रवाना हो गए हैं। क्षेत्र में अब भी रुक-रुक कर बारिश जारी है, जिससे राहत और बचाव कार्य में बाधाएं उत्पन्न हो रही हैं। साथ ही पहाड़ी से लगातार मलबा गिरने का खतरा भी बना हुआ है।

A tragic incident took place last night in Bragta village of Nihari tehsil of Sundernagar subdivision of Mandi district. Three people died due to landslide here, while two people were rescued safely. According to the information received, the landslide occurred near a house, due to which the entire house got buried under the rubble. Five people were present in the house at the time of the accident. Three of them died on the spot, including two women and an eight-month-old innocent child. The deceased have been identified as 64-year-old Tangu Devi wife of Jai Singh, 33-year-old Kamala Devi wife of Dev Raj, 8-month-old Bhishma Singh son of Dev Raj.

At the same time, two people were rescued safely, including 65-year-old Khub Ram son of Dhani Ram, 58-year-old Darshan Devi wife of Khub Ram. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. SP Mandi Sakshi Verma has confirmed the accident. It is worth noting that even before this, a major landslide incident had come to light in Jangambag of Sundarnagar subdivision, in which 7 people died. Now another tragic accident in the Nihari area of the same subdivision has taken the lives of three people. As soon as the information about the accident was received, SDM Sundarnagar Amar Negi, DSP Sundarnagar Bharat Bhushan and other administrative officers have left for the spot. Intermittent rain is still continuing in the area, which is creating obstacles in relief and rescue work. Also, there is a constant danger of debris falling from the hill.
