नशे के कारोबार पर लगातार शिकंजा कसते हुए पांवटा साहिब पुलिस की डिटेक्शन सेल ने शनिवार को बड़ी कामयाबी हासिल की। टीम ने लाल ढाग के पास दबिश देकर अमृतसर (पंजाब) निवासी अंकुश पुत्र परवीन को गिरफ्तार कर उसके कब्जे से 13.175 किलोग्राम भुक्की बरामद की। डिटेक्शन सेल की टीम ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर दबिश दी और आरोपी को रंगे हाथों पकड़ने में सफलता पाई। पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ NDPS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, मामले की जांच जारी है और पूछताछ में और भी खुलासे होने की संभावना जताई जा रही है। पुलिस प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट संदेश दिया है कि क्षेत्र में नशे के खिलाफ मुहिम को और तेज किया जाएगा तथा ऐसे अवैध धंधों में संलिप्त लोगों को किसी भी सूरत में बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।

Continuing to tighten the noose on the drug trade, the detection cell of Paonta Sahib police achieved a major success on Saturday. The team raided near Lal Dhaag and arrested Ankush son of Parveen, a resident of Amritsar (Punjab) and recovered 13.175 kg of Bhukki from his possession. The detection cell team raided on the basis of secret information and succeeded in catching the accused red handed. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and arrested him. According to police sources, the investigation of the case is going on and more revelations are expected during interrogation. The police administration has given a clear message that the campaign against drugs will be intensified in the area and people involved in such illegal businesses will not be spared under any circumstances.
