हिमाचल में अब गाड़ी रखने वाले, ज्यादा जमीन समेत छह माह से राशन न लेने वालों को सस्ते राशन (एनएफएसए) से बाहर किया जाएगा। केंद्र सरकार ने इसके लिए तैयारियां शुरू कर दी हैं। केंद्र ने इसके लिए हिमाचल को करीब पांच लाख से अधिक संदेहास्पद लोगों की एक लिस्ट भेजकर इनकी जांच के लिए निर्देश दिए हैं। जांच के बाद इसकी रिपोर्ट बनाकर केंद्र को भेजी जाएगी। यदि जांच के दौरान संबंधित लोगों के पास गाड़ी, अधिक जमीन, पक्का मकान होगा या वह छह माह से अधिक समय से राशन नहीं ले रहे होंगे, तो उन्हें राष्ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिनियम (एनएफएसए) से बाहर कर दिया जाएगा। इसमें खाद्य आपूर्ति विभाग को चार कैटेगरी की जांच का जिम्मा सौंपा है।

जिसमें छह माह से राशन न लेने वाले, दो जगह से राशन ले रहे लोगों, चार पहिया गाड़ी रखने वालों और टैक्स देने वालों की सूची दी। दोनों विभाग जांच के बाद लिस्ट केंद्र को भेजेंगे। जिसमें अपात्र लोगों को बाहर कर दिया जाएगा। केंद्र सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिनियम (एनएफएसए) के तहत निर्धारित पात्रता मानदंडों को और सख्त करने के संकेत दिए हैं। इसके तहत चार पहिया वाहन रखने और निर्धारित सीमा से ज्यादा जमीन रखने वाले परिवारों को राशन कार्ड के लिए अयोग्य ठहराया जा सकता है। यह इसलिए भी जरूरी है कि सरकारी सब्सिडी का लाभ उन लोगों को ही मिले जिन्हें इसकी सबसे ज्यादा जरूरत है। अभी कई अपात्र लोग भी इस सुविधा का लाभ उठा रहे हैं, जिन्हें अब बाहर कर दिया जाएगा।

In this, the food supply department has been given the responsibility of investigating four categories.

In which the list of people who have not taken ration for six months, people taking ration from two places, people having four wheelers and those paying tax was given. Both the departments will send the list to the center after investigation. In which ineligible people will be excluded. The central government has indicated to make the eligibility criteria set under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) more strict. Under this, families having four wheelers and land more than the prescribed limit can be disqualified for ration card. This is also important so that the benefit of government subsidy reaches only those people who need it the most. Right now many ineligible people are also taking advantage of this facility, who will now be excluded.
