उपायुक्त एवं अध्यक्ष जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण सिरमौर प्रियंका वर्मा ने आज यहां आपदा प्रबन्धन अधिनियम-2005 की धारा 33 और 34 के तहत प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए जिला में निर्माण गतिविधियों से संबंधित आदेश जारी किए हैं। इन आदशों के अनुसार सिरमौर जिला में आपदा न्यूनीकरण, आपदा प्रभावित बुनियादी ढ़ांचे की बहाली और पेयजल, बिजली आपूर्ति तथा आपातकालीन सेवाओं जैसी महत्वपूर्ण सार्वजनिक उपयोगिताओं से संबंधित कार्यों को छोड़कर किसी भी प्रकार के निजी विकास और निर्माण गतिविधियों के लिए पहाड़ियों के कटान पर 30 सितंबर, 2025 तक पूरे जिला में प्रतिबंध रहेगा। उपायुक्त ने सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्रालय के परियोजना निदेशक, पीआईयू पांवटा साहिब, उप-मंडलाधिकारी, कार्यकारी मजिस्ट्रेट और जिला के कार्यालय प्रमुखों सहित सभी निष्पादन एजेंसियों को इन आदेशों का कड़ाई से अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए है।
आदेशों में बताया गया कि हाल ही में हुई भारी वर्षा के कारण सिरमौर जिला के विभिन्न भागों में भूस्खलन और भूमि कटाव जैसी व्यापक आपदाएं आई हैं, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप सार्वजनिक और निजी बुनियादी ढांचे को भारी नुकसान हुआ है। मानव जीवन, आवासों और महत्वपूर्ण बुनियादी ढांचे की अधिकतम सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए तथा आगे की क्षति को कम करने के उद्देश्य से जिला भर में 30 सितंबर, 2025 तक पहाडी कटाई और अन्य गतिविधियों पर रोक रहेगी। उन्होंने बताया है कि यह आदेश जारी होने की तिथि से तत्काल प्रभाव से लागू होंगे और इनकी अवहेलना पर नियमानुसार कानूनी कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाएगी।

Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson District Disaster Management Authority Sirmaur Priyanka Verma today issued orders related to construction activities in the district using powers conferred under Section 33 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act-2005. According to these orders, cutting of hills for any kind of private development and construction activities will remain banned in the entire district till September 30, 2025, except works related to disaster mitigation, restoration of disaster affected infrastructure and important public utilities like drinking water, power supply and emergency services in Sirmaur district. The Deputy Commissioner has directed all the executing agencies including the Project Director of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, PIU Paonta Sahib, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Executive Magistrate and heads of offices of the district to ensure strict compliance of these orders.
The orders said that due to the recent heavy rainfall, widespread disasters like landslides and land erosion have occurred in various parts of Sirmaur district, resulting in heavy damage to public and private infrastructure. In order to ensure maximum safety of human life, dwellings and vital infrastructure and to minimize further damage, hill cutting and other activities will be prohibited across the district till September 30, 2025. He said that these orders will come into effect with immediate effect from the date of issuance and legal action will be taken as per rules in case of their violation.
