जिला सिरमौर के सराहां के प्रसिद्ध राज्य स्तरीय वामन द्वादशी मेला के दूसरे दिन पुलिस अधीक्षक सिरमौर निश्चिंत सिंह नेगी ने बतौर मुख्यातिथि शिरकत की। इस अवसर पर पुलिस अधीक्षक ने भगवान वामन के मंदिर में पूजा अर्चना कर आशीर्वाद लिया। इसके पश्चात उन्होंने विभिन्न विभागों द्वारा लगाई गई विकासात्मक प्रदर्शनियों का अवलोकन भी किया। उन्होंने लोगों से आह्वाहन किया कि वह यहां विभागों द्वारा लगाई गई। प्रदर्शनियों में जाकर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा चलाई जा रही विभिन्न कल्याणकारी योजनाओं की जानकारी प्राप्त करें तथा इनका लाभ उठाएं। इसके पश्चात निश्चिंत नेगी मेला स्थल पर पहुंच कर कुश्ती प्रतियोगिताओं का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया जिसमें हिमाचल तथा विभिन्न राज्यों से आए खिलाड़ी पहलवानों ने भाग लिया।

मेला देखने आए लोगों ने दंगल का भरपूर आनंद लिया।मुख्य अतिथि ने कहा कि समाज को स्वच्छ तथा स्वस्थ रखना हम सभी का दायित्व है। उन्होंने कहा कि समाज में कोई भी व्यक्ति नशे के अवैध कारोबार में संलिप्त हो तो इसकी जानकारी पुलिस विभाग को दें। सूचना देने वाले व्यक्ति की पहचान गुप्त रखी जाएगी तथा नशा कारोबारियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। इस मौके पर एसडीएम पच्छाद एवं सदस्य सचिव राज्य स्तरीय वामन द्वादशी मेला सराहां डॉ. प्रियंका चंद्रा ने मुख्य अतिथि को शाल,टोपी व स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट कर सम्मानित किया।इस अवसर पर उप पुलिस अधीक्षक राजगढ़ विद्या चंद नेगी, तहसीलदार पच्छाद प्रवीण कुमार, जिला परिषद सदस्य आन्नद परमार, नीलम शर्मा, रणधीर पंवार, एसडीएम कार्यालय से नरेश ठाकुर, ओम प्रकाश शर्मा सहित विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारी तथा अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित रहे।

Superintendent of Police Sirmaur Nischint Singh Negi attended the second day of the famous state level Vaman Dwadashi Fair at Sarahan in Sirmaur district as the chief guest. On this occasion the Superintendent of Police sought blessings by offering prayers at the temple of Lord Vaman. After this he also visited the developmental exhibitions put up by various departments. He appealed to the people to go to the exhibitions put up by the departments here and get information about the various welfare schemes run by the state government and take advantage of them. After this Nischint Negi reached the fair site and formally inaugurated the wrestling competitions in which wrestlers from Himachal and various states participated.

People who came to see the fair enjoyed the wrestling thoroughly. The chief guest said that it is the responsibility of all of us to keep the society clean and healthy. He said that if any person in the society is involved in illegal drug trade, then inform the police department about it. The identity of the person giving information will be kept secret and strict action will be taken against the drug dealers. On this occasion, SDM Pachhad and Member Secretary State Level Vaman Dwadashi Mela Sarahan Dr. Priyanka Chandra honored the chief guest by presenting shawl, cap and souvenir. On this occasion, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajgarh Vidya Chand Negi, Tehsildar Pachhad Praveen Kumar, District Council Member Anand Parmar, Neelam Sharma, Randhir Panwar, Naresh Thakur from SDM office, Om Prakash Sharma, officers of various departments and other dignitaries were present.
