शहर की प्रतिभाशाली गायिका भावना रतन ने अपनी मधुर और प्रभावित करने वाली आवाज के दम पर राष्ट्रीय मंच पर पहचान बनाई है। 5 सितंबर को पंचकूला के ‘द रामगढ़ पैलेस’ में हुए इनर व्हील इंडियन आइडल के सेमीफाइनल में उत्तर भारत के आठ प्रतिभागियों के बीच मुकाबला हुआ, जिसमें भावना ने अपने शानदार प्रदर्शन से जजों का मन जीतते हुए फाइनल में प्रवेश किया। इस अवसर पर अभिनेत्री पूनम ढिल्लों, विश्व मुक्केबाजी चैंपियन मैरी कॉम और पूर्व राज्यपाल किरण बेदी जैसी दिग्गज हस्तियां मौजूद रहीं।

अब भावना रतन महाराष्ट्र के कोल्हापुर में होने वाले फाइनल मुकाबले में अपनी आवाज का जादू बिखेरेंगी और नाहन समेत पूरे हिमाचल प्रदेश का नाम राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर चमकाएँगी। भावना रतन का संगीत और नेतृत्व क्षमता का सफर भी प्रेरणादायक है। वह 2016 में इनर व्हील क्लब नाहन क्लासिक में शामिल हुईं और अपनी काबिलियत के दम पर क्लब की अध्यक्ष भी बनीं। वर्तमान में वह रोटरी क्लब संगिनी नाहन की सदस्य भी हैं। उनका पारिवारिक योगदान भी उल्लेखनीय है—भावना प्रसिद्ध समाजसेवी और शिक्षाविद् स्व. श्री सुरेश कुमार रतन की पुत्रवधू हैं, जबकि उनके पति विकास रतन रोटरी क्लब ऑफ नाहन सिरमौर हिल्स के सदस्य हैं।

इनर व्हील इंडियन आइडल प्रतियोगिता की प्रक्रिया में पहले क्लब स्तर पर आंतरिक मुकाबले हुए, उसके बाद जिला स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता आयोजित हुई, जिसमें भावना ने जिला 308 में शीर्ष स्थान प्राप्त किया। इस जिला में चंडीगढ़, पंचकूला और उत्तर भारत के अन्य प्रमुख शहरों के क्लब शामिल थे। देशभर में लगभग 1722 इनर व्हील क्लब हैं, जिन्हें 27 डिस्ट्रिक्ट्स में बांटा गया है।इस फाइनल में पहुँचकर भावना ने न केवल अपनी प्रतिभा का लोहा मनवाया है, बल्कि नाहन और हिमाचल प्रदेश का नाम राष्ट्रीय मंच पर रोशन किया है।

The city’s talented singer Bhavna Ratan has made a name for herself on the national stage with her sweet and impressive voice. In the semi-final of Inner Wheel Indian Idol held at ‘The Ramgarh Palace’ in Panchkula on September 5, eight contestants from North India competed in which Bhavna won the hearts of the judges with her brilliant performance and entered the finals. On this occasion, eminent personalities like actress Poonam Dhillon, world boxing champion Mary Kom and former Governor Kiran Bedi were present.

Now Bhavna Ratan will spread the magic of her voice in the final competition to be held in Kolhapur, Maharashtra and will make the name of entire Himachal Pradesh including Nahan shine at the national level. Bhavna Ratan’s journey of music and leadership is also inspiring. She joined Inner Wheel Club Nahan Classic in 2016 and became the president of the club on the basis of her ability. Currently she is also a member of Rotary Club Sangini Nahan. Her family contribution is also noteworthy – Bhavna is the daughter-in-law of famous social worker and educationist late Shri Suresh Kumar Ratan, while her husband Vikas Ratan is a member of Rotary Club of Nahan Sirmaur Hills.

In the process of Inner Wheel Indian Idol competition, first there were internal competitions at the club level, after that the district level competition was organized, in which Bhavna topped District 308. This district included clubs from Chandigarh, Panchkula and other major cities of North India. There are about 1722 Inner Wheel clubs across the country, which are divided into 27 districts. By reaching this final, Bhavna has not only proved her talent, but has also brought fame to Nahan and Himachal Pradesh on the national stage.
