हिमाचल हाईकोर्ट में विमल नेगी मौत मामले में निलंबित एएसआई पंकज शर्मा को दी सिक्योरिटी हटा दी है। राज्य सरकार की ओर से कथित अवैध हिरासत और उस पर निगरानी रखने के आदेशों को लेकर पंकज की पत्नी ने कोर्ट का दरवाजा खटखटाया है। याचिकाकर्ता ने अपने पति की तत्काल रिहाई और उन पर लगाए गए निगरानी के सभी आदेशों को वापस लेने की मांग की। अदालत को बताया गया कि उनके पति को उनके सरकारी आवास जो की भराड़ी शिमला में आवंटित है, में भी रहने की अनुमति नहीं दी जा रही है। उन्हें अभी भी पुलिस गेस्ट हाउस कैथू के सेट नंबर वन में जबरन रखा गया है। मुख्य न्यायाधीश गुरमीत सिंह संधावालिया और न्यायाधीश रंजन शर्मा की खंडपीठ ने मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए तत्काल संज्ञान लिया और राज्य सरकार को निर्देश दिए कि वह 2:00 बजे एएसआई पंकज शर्मा को न्यायालय में पेश करे। अदालत ने राज्य सरकार और सीबीआई को सुनने के बाद सरकार को याचिका पर जवाब दाखिल करने के निर्देश दिए और पंकज शर्मा पर लगाई गई सभी सिक्योरिटी को हटा दिया।

Himachal High Court has removed the security given to suspended ASI Pankaj Sharma in the Vimal Negi death case. Pankaj’s wife has approached the court over the alleged illegal detention and surveillance orders imposed on him by the state government. The petitioner demanded the immediate release of her husband and withdrawal of all surveillance orders imposed on him. The court was told that her husband is not even being allowed to live in his government accommodation allotted to him in Bharari Shimla. He is still forcibly kept in Set Number One of Police Guest House Kaithu. A division bench of Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia and Justice Ranjan Sharma took immediate cognizance of the matter considering its seriousness and directed the state government to present ASI Pankaj Sharma in the court at 2:00 pm. After hearing the state government and the CBI, the court directed the government to file a reply on the petition and removed all the security imposed on Pankaj Sharma.
