उपमंडल में पुलिस ने नशा तस्करों के खिलाफ लगातार अभियान तेज कर रखा है। गुरुवार को दो अलग-अलग मामलों में पुलिस ने नशीले पदार्थों की बरामदगी करते हुए आरोपियों को दबोच लिया। पहला मामला में डिटेक्शन सेल पांवटा साहिब की टीम ने वार्ड नंबर 10, देवीनगर की रहने वाली काजल पत्नी रोहित मलिक को पकड़ा। तलाशी के दौरान उसके कब्जे से 5.11 ग्राम चिट्टा (हेरोइन) बरामद हुआ। महिला को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है और उसे आज माननीय अदालत में पेश किया जाएगा।

दूसरा मामला में इसी दिन थाना माजरा पुलिस की टीम ने गश्त के दौरान गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर गांव भगवानपुर के पास दबिश दी। यहां मिश्रवाला निवासी 22 वर्षीय बिलाल पुत्र गुलजार को पकड़ा गया। उसके कब्जे से 456 नशीले कैप्सूल बरामद हुए। आरोपी को मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार कर अदालत में पेश किया जा रहा है। पुलिस ने दोनों मामलों में एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत अभियोग दर्ज कर लिया है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि क्षेत्र में नशे के खिलाफ यह अभियान आगे भी सख्ती से जारी रहेगा।

In the first case, the team of Detection Cell Paonta Sahib caught Kajal, wife of Rohit Malik, resident of Ward No. 10, Devinagar. During the search, 5.11 grams of chitta (heroin) was recovered from her possession. The woman has been arrested and will be produced in the honorable court today.

In the second case, on the same day, the police team of Thana Majra raided near village Bhagwanpur on the basis of secret information during patrolling. Here 22-year-old Bilal son of Gulzar, resident of Mishrawala, was caught. 456 narcotic capsules were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot and is being presented in the court. Police have registered a case under NDPS Act in both the cases. Officials say that this campaign against drug abuse in the area will continue strictly in the future as well.
