हिमाचल प्रदेश में पिछले कुछ दिनों से जारी भारी बारिश के बाद आज भले ही राहत मिली हो, लेकिन इसका असर अब दिखना शुरू हो गया है। वीरवार सुबह 4:45 के आसपास दो सड़का से श्री रेणुका जी की ओर जाने वाली मुख्य सड़क नैहली से कुछ कदम आगे भारी भूस्खलन के कारण बंद हो गई है। करीब 50 मीटर से अधिक रास्ते पर मलबा आने से यातायात पूरी तरह से अवरुद्ध हो गया है, जिस वजह से सड़क के दोनों ओर कर्मचारी और आम लोग फंस गए हैं। भूस्खलन के बाद सड़क पर इतना मलबा आ गया है कि पैदल निकलना भी मुश्किल है। लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिशासी अभियंता आलोक जवनेजा ने बताया कि सड़क बंद होने की सूचना मिलते ही मौके पर दो जेसीबी भेज दी गई हैं। हालांकि, मलबा बहुत ज्यादा होने के कारण रास्ता खुलने में समय लग रहा है।

विभाग का अनुमान है कि वीरवार की सुबह 11 से 12 बजे के बीच रास्ता खुल सकता है। सड़क बंद होने के कारण दोनों तरफ लंबा जाम लग गया है, जिससे स्कूल जाने वाले अध्यापक, अन्य कर्मचारी और आम लोग भारी परेशानी में हैं। लोक निर्माण विभाग से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, नाहन विधानसभा क्षेत्र में बर्मा पापड़ी, नलका, कोलां वाला भूंड, मातर, भेड़ों सहित कई अन्य रास्ते भी बंद हैं। इस विषम परिस्थिति में विभाग की मशीनरी और कर्मचारी सड़कों को बहाल करने के लिए दिन-रात काम कर रहे हैं। जिस लगन और निष्ठा से वे मुश्किल हालात में भी लगातार काम कर रहे हैं, वह वाकई प्रशंसनीय है। इन कर्मचारियों की वजह से ही कई ब्लैक स्पॉट पर 24 घंटे काम जारी है ताकि जल्द से जल्द यातायात सुचारू हो सके।हालांकि, मौसम के हालात अभी भी पूरी तरह से ठीक नहीं हैं, लेकिन फिलहाल बारिश से राहत है।

Himachal Pradesh may have got some relief today after the heavy rains that had been continuing for the last few days, but its effect has started showing now. On Thursday morning around 4:45, the main road from Do Sadak to Shri Renuka ji was closed due to a heavy landslide a few steps ahead of Nahli. The traffic has been completely blocked due to debris on more than 50 meters of the road, due to which employees and common people are stuck on both sides of the road. After the landslide, so much debris has come on the road that it is difficult to even walk. Alok Javaneja, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, said that as soon as the information about the road being closed was received, two JCBs have been sent to the spot. However, due to the huge amount of debris, it is taking time for the road to open.

The department estimates that the road may open between 11 and 12 am on Thursday. Due to the road being closed, there is a long jam on both sides, due to which teachers, other employees and common people going to school are facing a lot of trouble. According to the information received from the Public Works Department, many other roads including Burma Papadi, Nalka, Kolan Wala Bhund, Matar, Bhedon are also closed in Nahan assembly constituency. In this difficult situation, the machinery and employees of the department are working day and night to restore the roads. The dedication and devotion with which they are working continuously even in difficult conditions is really commendable. It is because of these employees that work is going on 24 hours on many black spots so that traffic can be smooth as soon as possible. Although the weather conditions are still not completely fine, but at present there is relief from rain.
