भारी बारिश के चलते नाहन शहर को पेयजल आपूर्ति करने वाली महत्वपूर्ण गिरि उठाऊ पेयजल योजना बार-बार प्रभावित हो रही है। लगातार बारिश के चलते रामाधौण के समीप और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में योजना की लाइन टूटने से शहर में पेयजल की किल्लत बन गई है। उधर, बार-बार टूट रही लाइन को जोड़ने में विभाग की टीमें दिन-रात काम कर रही हैं। पहले भी टीमों ने रात को करीब डेढ़ बजे तक जुटकर योजना को सुचारू किया था, लेकिन अब पुन: टूट जाने से समस्या बनी। इसके बाद विभाग की टीम ने कड़ी मेहनत के बाद लाइन को मंगलवार को पुन: जोड़ दिया और इसकी टेस्टिंग की जा रही थी। इस बीच पुन: लाइन रामा व सती के समीप फिर से टूट गई है।

इसके चलते एक बार फिर विभाग और शहरवासियों के लिए चिंता बढ़ गई है। उधर, शहर की पुरानी खैरी पेयजल योजना की लाइन भी कई जगह से टूटी हुई बताई जा रही है। विभाग की टीमें इस योजना को भी पुन: सुचारू बनाए रखने में जुटी हुई हैं। मंगलवार को विभाग के सहायक अभियंता नाहन खुद मौके पर जुटे रहे। उन्होंने बताया कि लाइन के पास कई क्षेत्रों में काफी दलदल है, ऐसे में जाना खतरे से खाली नहीं है। फिर भी टीमें जुटी हुई हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि गिरि पेयजल योजना को जोड़कर शुरू करते हुए टेस्टिंग की जा रही थी, लेकिन पुन: लाइट टूट जाने से समस्या आई है। टीमें मौके पर जुटी हुई हैं।

On the other hand, the teams of the department are working day and night to repair the line that is breaking repeatedly. Earlier also the teams had worked till about 1.30 in the night and made the scheme functional, but now the problem has arisen due to its breakage again. After this, the team of the department reconnected the line on Tuesday after hard work and its testing was being done. Meanwhile, the line has broken again near Rama and Sati.

Due to this, once again the concern has increased for the department and the city residents. On the other hand, the line of the old Khairi drinking water scheme of the city is also said to be broken at many places. The teams of the department are busy in making this scheme operational again. On Tuesday, the assistant engineer of the department, Nahan himself was present on the spot. He told that there is a lot of swamp in many areas near the line, so going there is not free from danger. Still the teams are engaged. He told that testing was being done by connecting the Giri drinking water scheme and starting it, but again the problem has arisen due to the power being broken. The teams are present on the spot.
