उपायुक्त सिरमौर प्रियंका वर्मा ने निर्देश जारी करते हुए बताया कि पंचायती राज संस्थाओं के आगामी सामान्य निर्वाचन हेतु जिला सिरमौर की सभी 259 ग्राम पंचायतों में 20 से 26 सितंबर, 2025 तक एक विशेष ग्राम सभा की बैठक आयोजित की जाएगी। इस विशेष ग्राम सभा की बैठक में प्रारूप मतदाता सूचियों की प्रतियां जनसाधारण के समक्ष अवलोकन हेतु रखी जाएंगी, ताकि प्रारूप मतदाता सूचियों में किसी भी प्रकार की त्रुटियों की जांच की जा सके तथा और अधिक सटीकता प्राप्त की जा सके।

उन्होंने बताया कि इस विशेष ग्राम सभा में पंचायत सचिव की उपस्थिति अनिवार्य रहेगी तथा बैठक की तिथि पंचायत सचिव की उपलब्धता के अनुसार ही रखी जाएगी। उन्होंने निर्देश दिए की बैठक की कार्यवाही प्रतिभागियों के समक्ष तैयार कर अधिकारिक अभिलेख में दर्ज की जाएगी। यदि मतदाता सूचियों के प्रारूप में किसी प्रकार की विसंगतियां पाई जाती हैं, तो बैठक की कार्यवाही में इसका उल्लेख किया जाएगा तथा आयोग से जारी दिशा निर्देशों के अनुसार इसमें सुधार किया जाएगा।

While issuing the instructions, Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur Priyanka Verma said that for the upcoming general elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions, a special Gram Sabha meeting will be organized in all 259 Gram Panchayats of Sirmaur district from 20 to 26 September, 2025. In this special Gram Sabha meeting, copies of the draft voter lists will be placed before the general public for viewing, so that any kind of errors in the draft voter lists can be checked and more accuracy can be achieved.

He informed that the presence of the Panchayat Secretary will be mandatory in this special Gram Sabha and the date of the meeting will be fixed as per the availability of the Panchayat Secretary. He directed that the proceedings of the meeting will be prepared in front of the participants and recorded in the official records. If any discrepancies are found in the format of the voter lists, then it will be mentioned in the proceedings of the meeting and it will be corrected as per the guidelines issued by the Commission.
