गिरी नदी में आई भारी बाढ़ के कारण बांगरन बस्ती से 50 से अधिक लोगों को प्रशासन द्वारा सुरक्षित रूप से निकाला गया। यह कार्रवाई बांगरन पुल के समीप नदी द्वारा भूमि कटाव के चलते उत्पन्न गंभीर खतरे को देखते हुए की गई। इसी दौरान गिरी नदी के तेज़ बहाव में लिफ़्ट सिंचाई योजना (एल.आई.एस.) बांगरन नम्बर-2 का सम्पवेल तथा 5 सबमर्सिबल पम्प सेट बह गए। जिससे सिंचाई ढांचे को भारी क्षति पहुँची है। जिला प्रशासन ने प्रभावित परिवारों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुँचाने के साथ-साथ आवश्यक राहत प्रबंध सुनिश्चित किए हैं। नुक़सान के आकलन और बहाल करने का कार्य प्राथमिकता पर किया जा रहा है। प्रशासन आमजन से पुनः अपील करता है कि नदी-नालों के किनारे रहने वाले लोग सतर्क रहें तथा किसी भी प्रकार की असावधानी न बरतें और प्रशासनिक निर्देशों का पालन करें।

Due to heavy floods in the Giri river, more than 50 people were safely evacuated by the administration from Bangran Basti. This action was taken in view of the serious danger posed by land erosion by the river near the Bangran bridge. Meanwhile, the sumpwell and 5 submersible pump sets of Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS) Bangran No. 2 were washed away in the strong current of the Giri river. Due to which the irrigation structure has suffered heavy damage. The district administration has ensured necessary relief arrangements along with taking the affected families to safe places. The work of assessing the damage and restoring it is being done on priority. The administration once again appeals to the general public that people living on the banks of rivers and streams should remain alert and not be careless in any way and follow the administrative instructions.
