देहरादून, उत्तराखंड की राजधानी देहरादून को देश के असुरक्षित शहरों में गिनने वाली हालिया रिपोर्ट ने राज्य की राजनीति में हलचल मचा दी है। उत्तराखंड क्रांति दल (यूकेडी) ने इसे लेकर राज्य सरकार पर तीखा हमला बोला है।

यूकेडी के केंद्र संरक्षण प्रभारी सुरेंद्र कुकरेती ने कहा कि जिस उत्तराखंड की नींव महिलाओं के संघर्ष और बलिदान पर रखी गई, वहां आज की बेटियाँ खुद को असुरक्षित महसूस कर रही हैं। उन्होंने हंसा धनई और बेलमती चौहान जैसी आंदोलनकारी महिलाओं के योगदान को याद करते हुए कहा कि राज्य निर्माण आंदोलन में महिलाओं की 70% से अधिक भागीदारी रही, लेकिन आज वही महिलाएँ भय और असुरक्षा में जीने को मजबूर हैं।

कुकरेती ने आरोप लगाया कि राष्ट्रीय सर्वेक्षण में देहरादून का स्थान केवल एक आंकड़ा नहीं, बल्कि राज्य की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की असफलता का आईना है। उन्होंने कहा, “सिर्फ भाषणों से नहीं, बल्कि ज़मीन पर उतरकर, मजबूत नीतियों और जवाबदेही से महिलाओं की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करनी होगी।”

यूकेडी ने साफ शब्दों में चेतावनी दी है कि यदि सरकार ने महिलाओं की सुरक्षा को प्राथमिकता नहीं दी, तो जनता एक बार फिर सड़कों पर उतरेगी और राज्य आंदोलन की तरह मशाल जुलूस शुरू होंगे।
