चंबा जिले में मूसलाधार बारिश और भूस्खलन से बाधित मणिमहेश यात्रा के बीच प्रशासन की तेज कार्रवाई से लगभग चार हज़ार तीर्थ यात्री सुरक्षित निकाल लिए गए हैं। इन यात्रियों को चंबा और नूरपुर पहुंचाने के लिए बसों और टैक्सियों की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई गई है। जानकारी के अनुसार शुक्रवार की रात 8 बजे तक करीब 4,000 यात्री चंबा से 14 किलोमीटर दूर कलसुईं तक पहुंच चुके थे। यात्रियों को वहां से चंबा और नूरपुर लाने के लिए 39 बसें और 25 टैक्सियाँ तैनात की गईं। इसके अलावा डीसी कांगड़ा से 40 अतिरिक्त बसें भेजने का अनुरोध भी किया गया है। चंबा में एक हज़ार लोगों के ठहरने और भोजन की व्यवस्था की गई है। साथ ही कलसुईं से राख तक की सड़क का मलबा हटाकर साफ़ कर दिया गया है, हालांकि वहां अभी बसों की आवाजाही संभव नहीं हो पाई है।

श्रद्धालुओं की मदद के लिए प्रशासन ने सात टीमें लगाई हैं, जिनमें आपदा मित्र, होमगार्ड, एनसीसी कैडेट, स्थानीय स्वयंसेवक, पुलिस कर्मी और अधिकारी शामिल हैं। प्रशासन ने पुष्टि की है कि यात्रा के दौरान अब तक 10 लोगों की मौत हुई है। इनमें पांच तीर्थयात्री शामिल हैं। मृतकों में अमन (18) और रोहित (18) निवासी पठानकोट (पंजाब) के शव उनके परिजनों को सौंपकर घर भेज दिए गए हैं। अन्य मृतक तीर्थयात्रियों में अनमोल निवासी गुरदासपुर (पंजाब), दर्शना देवी निवासी चंबा (हिमाचल प्रदेश) और सागर भटनागर निवासी उत्तर प्रदेश शामिल हैं, जिनके शवों को मौसम की स्थिति देखते हुए कल भेजा जाएगा। इसके अलावा भारी बारिश में बह जाने से चंबा की कविता (33) और सुलोचना (36) तथा तीसा की रेखा देवी की भी मौत हो गई।

Around four thousand pilgrims have been evacuated safely due to swift action by the administration amid heavy rains and landslides in Chamba district, when the Manimahesh Yatra was disrupted. Buses and taxis have been provided to transport these pilgrims to Chamba and Nurpur. According to information, by 8 pm on Friday night, around 4,000 pilgrims had reached Kalsuin, 14 km from Chamba. 39 buses and 25 taxis were deployed to bring the pilgrims from there to Chamba and Nurpur. Apart from this, DC Kangra has also been requested to send 40 additional buses. Accommodation and food arrangements have been made for one thousand people in Chamba. Also, the road from Kalsuin to Rakh has been cleared by removing the debris, although the movement of buses has not been possible there yet.

The administration has deployed seven teams to help the pilgrims, which include disaster friends, home guards, NCC cadets, local volunteers, police personnel and officials. The administration has confirmed that so far 10 people have died during the pilgrimage. These include five pilgrims. The bodies of Aman (18) and Rohit (18), residents of Pathankot (Punjab), have been handed over to their families and sent home. The other deceased pilgrims include Anmol resident of Gurdaspur (Punjab), Darshana Devi resident of Chamba (Himachal Pradesh) and Sagar Bhatnagar resident of Uttar Pradesh, whose bodies will be sent tomorrow depending on the weather conditions. Apart from this, Kavita (33) and Sulochana (36) of Chamba and Rekha Devi of Teesa also died after being swept away in heavy rains.
