नैनीताल:मानव तस्करी जैसे संवेदनशील मामलों में घोर लापरवाही बरतने पर नैनीताल के वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक (SSP) प्रहलाद नारायण मीणा ने शुक्रवार को बड़ा कदम उठाते हुए एंटी ह्यूमन ट्रैफिकिंग सेल के पूरे स्टाफ को तत्काल प्रभाव से लाइनहाजिर कर दिया है।

प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, बच्चों की बरामदगी, भिक्षावृत्ति की रोकथाम और अनैतिक देह व्यापार जैसे मामलों में सेल की निष्क्रियता लगातार SSP की नजर में थी। तमाम चेतावनियों के बावजूद ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं होने पर यह सख्त निर्णय लिया गया।

लाइनहाजिर किए गए पुलिसकर्मी इस प्रकार हैं:

इस फैसले के बाद पुलिस महकमे में हड़कंप मच गया है और अन्य इकाइयों को भी स्पष्ट संदेश गया है कि अब काम के नाम पर कोताही बर्दाश्त नहीं होगी।
