हिमाचल प्रदेश में अब शैक्षणिक सत्र के अंत में ही शिक्षक सेवानिवृत्त होंगे। वित्त विभाग ने बुधवार को इस बाबत अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है। शिक्षा, तकनीकी शिक्षा, मेडिकल शिक्षा विभाग के लिए यह प्रावधान किया गया है। मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू ने शिक्षण संस्थानों में साल भर पढ़ाई का माहौल बनाए रखने के लिए 15 अगस्त को यह घोषणा की थी। सरकार के फैसले से प्रदेश में शिक्षा से जुड़े महकमों में अब सेवानिवृत्त करने की आयु 58 साल से बढ़कर 59 साल हो गई है। राज्य सरकार ने चालू शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2025-2026 के लिए सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षकों को सत्रवार पुनर्रोजगार देने का फैसला लिया है।

सरकार के फैसले से स्कूली शिक्षा, उच्च शिक्षा, तकनीकी शिक्षा, आयुष शिक्षा और चिकित्सा शिक्षा समेत विभिन्न शैक्षणिक विभागों में कार्यरत शिक्षकों को लाभ होगा। प्रधान सचिव वित्त देवेश कुमार की ओर से जारी अधिसूचना में स्पष्ट किया गया है कि शैक्षणिक सत्र के दौरान सामान्य सेवानिवृत्ति आयु प्राप्त करने वाले शिक्षकों को अब सत्र के अंत तक अपनी सेवा जारी रखने की अनुमति दी गई है। इस फैसले से संस्थानों को सत्र के मध्य में शिक्षकों की कमी का सामना नहीं करना पड़ेगा। वहीं, इससे छात्रों की शिक्षा और शैक्षणिक योजना बाधित भी नहीं होगी। जिन शिक्षकों की सेवानिवृत्ति अधिसूचना की तिथि 27 अगस्त 2025 और उनके संबंधित शैक्षणिक सत्र की समाप्ति से पहले वाले महीने के अंतिम दिन के बीच होनी है, उन्हें स्वतः ही पुनर्रोजगार मिल जाएगा।

In Himachal Pradesh, teachers will now retire only at the end of the academic session. The Finance Department has issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday. This provision has been made for the Education, Technical Education, Medical Education departments. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had made this announcement on August 15 to maintain a year-round study environment in educational institutions. Due to the government’s decision, the retirement age in education related departments in the state has now increased from 58 years to 59 years. The state government has decided to provide session-wise re-employment to retired teachers for the current academic year 2025-2026.

The government’s decision will benefit teachers working in various educational departments including school education, higher education, technical education, AYUSH education and medical education. The notification issued by Principal Secretary Finance Devesh Kumar clarified that teachers who attain normal retirement age during the academic session are now allowed to continue their service till the end of the session. With this decision, institutions will not have to face shortage of teachers in the middle of the session. At the same time, this will not disrupt the education and academic planning of the students. Teachers whose retirement notification date is to be between 27 August 2025 and the last day of the month before the end of their respective academic session will automatically get re-employment.
