मनाली में दो दिनों से हो रही भारी बारिश ने तबाही मचाई है, जिससे ब्यास नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ गया है। चंडीगढ़-मनाली नेशनल हाईवे पर पानी बहने से यातायात बाधित हो गया है, और आलू ग्राउंड, वॉल्वो बस स्टैंड जैसे इलाके जलमग्न हो गए हैं। प्रशासन ने लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचाया है और अलर्ट जारी किया है। पर्यटन नगरी मनाली में दो दिनों से जारी भारी बारिश ने हालात बिगाड़ दिए हैं। लगातार हो रही वर्षा के कारण ब्यास नदी का जलस्तर अचानक बढ़ गया और चंडीगढ़ मनाली नेशनल हाइवे पर बहने लगा। सोमवार रात को ब्यास नदी का पानी बढ़ते-बढ़ते आलू ग्राउंड तक पहुंच गया। इसके कारण आलू ग्राउंड, वॉल्वो बस स्टैंड और ग्रीन टैक्स बैरियर पूरी तरह जलमग्न हो गए। इस दौरान नेशनल हाईवे के कई हिस्सों पर यातायात बाधित हुआ और वाहनों की लंबी कतारें लग गईं। प्रशासन ने तुरंत सतर्कता बरतते हुए बाहंग क्षेत्र और नदी किनारे बसे अन्य इलाकों में रह रहे लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर शिफ्ट कर दिया है। बताया जा रहा है कि यदि बारिश का क्रम इसी तरह जारी रहा तो और भी क्षेत्रों को खाली कराना पड़ सकता है।

“अलर्ट मोड पर प्रशासन”
स्थानीय प्रशासन के अनुसार, राहत एवं बचाव दल पूरी रात अलर्ट मोड पर रहे। नदी के किनारे बने घरों और दुकानों को खाली कराने के साथ-साथ लोगों को सुरक्षित शेल्टर में ठहराया गया है। भारी बारिश और जलस्तर बढ़ने के कारण मनाली आने वाले पर्यटकों को भी भारी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। बस स्टैंड जलमग्न होने से वॉल्वो और अन्य लंबी दूरी की बस सेवाएँ प्रभावित हो गई हैं। कई पर्यटक होटलों और गेस्ट हाउसों में फंसे हुए हैं।

“प्रशासन ने की अपील”
जिला प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट किया है कि हालात अभी भी गंभीर बने हुए हैं। लोगों से अपील की गई है कि वे नदियों-नालों के किनारे न जाएँ और सुरक्षित स्थानों पर ही रहें। मौसम विभाग ने भी अगले कुछ घंटों तक भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश की संभावना जताई है, जिससे ब्यास नदी और अन्य नालों का जलस्तर और अधिक बढ़ सकता है।

Traffic has been disrupted due to water flowing on the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway, and areas like Aloo Ground, Volvo Bus Stand have been submerged. The administration has shifted people to safer places and issued an alert. Heavy rains in the tourist city of Manali for two days have worsened the situation. Due to continuous rainfall, the water level of the Beas river suddenly increased and started flowing on the Chandigarh Manali National Highway. On Monday night, the water of the Beas river kept rising and reached Aloo Ground. Due to this, Aloo Ground, Volvo Bus Stand and Green Tax Barrier were completely submerged. During this, traffic was disrupted on many parts of the National Highway and long queues of vehicles were formed. The administration immediately took precaution and shifted the people living in the Bahang area and other areas situated on the river bank to safer places. It is being told that if the sequence of rain continues like this, then more areas may have to be evacuated.

“Administration on alert mode”

According to the local administration, the relief and rescue teams remained on alert mode throughout the night. Along with evacuating the houses and shops built on the river bank, people have been accommodated in safe shelters. Due to heavy rains and rising water level, tourists coming to Manali are also facing a lot of difficulties. Volvo and other long distance bus services have been affected due to the bus stand being submerged. Many tourists are stranded in hotels and guest houses.

“Administration appeals”

The district administration has clarified that the situation is still serious. People have been appealed not to go near the banks of rivers and streams and stay in safe places. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy to very heavy rains for the next few hours, due to which the water level of the Beas river and other streams may increase further.
