रोनहाट–मीनस सड़क को राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग घोषित करने अथवा प्रधानमंत्री गति शक्ति योजना में शामिल करने की मांग प्रदेश हाटी विकास मंच ने उठाई है। मंच के अध्यक्ष प्रदीप सिंह सिंगटा और महासचिव डॉ. अनिल भारद्वाज के नेतृत्व में एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उद्योग मंत्री हर्षवर्धन चौहान को ज्ञापन सौंपा। मंत्री ने इस महत्वपूर्ण मांग को केंद्र सरकार के समक्ष रखने का आश्वासन दिया।‌ हाटी अध्यक्ष ने बताया कि यह ऐतिहासिक मार्ग 1958 से 1962 के बीच हिमाचल प्रदेश के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. यशवंत सिंह परमार के नेतृत्व में जनता के श्रमदान से बनाया गया था। आज तक यह केवल मेजर डिस्ट्रिक्ट रोड की श्रेणी में ही है। उन्होंने कहा कि सड़क संकरी और जर्जर स्थिति में होने के कारण विशेषकर बरसात के दिनों में आए दिन हादसे होते रहते हैं।

यह मार्ग सिरमौर जिले के लगभग तीन लाख से अधिक ग्रामीण व जनजातीय लोगों की जीवनरेखा है। सिंगटा ने बताया कि यह मार्ग धार्मिक और पर्यटन दृष्टि से भी बेहद अहम है क्योंकि इसके जरिए लाखों श्रद्धालु व पर्यटक चूड़धार, मां भंगायणी मंदिर और श्री रेणुका जी जैसे तीर्थ स्थलों तक पहुंचते हैं। बेहतर सड़क सुविधा से पर्यटन, व्यापार और कृषि को नया आयाम मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह सड़क ट्रांस-गिरी क्षेत्र के अनुसूचित जनजाति बहुल क्षेत्रों से होकर गुजरती है और उत्तराखंड के जौनसार-बावर के आदिवासी समुदाय को भी लाभ पहुंचाएगी। प्रतिनिधिमंडल में मंच महासचिव डॉ. अनिल भारद्वाज, प्रांत कोषाध्यक्ष वी.एन. भारद्वाज, एडवोकेट रविंद्र सिंह ठाकुर, मुख्य प्रवक्ता विवेक तोमर, सतपाल चौहान, रोशन शर्मा, हितेंद्र ठाकुर, अनिल ठाकुर और सोबित ठाकुर शामिल रहे।

The State Hati Vikas Manch has raised the demand to declare Solan–Rajgarh–Haripurdhar–Ronhat–Minas road as National Highway or to include it in Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana. A delegation led by Manch President Pradeep Singh Singta and General Secretary Dr. Anil Bhardwaj submitted a memorandum to Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan. The minister assured to place this important demand before the central government. The Hati President said that this historic route was built between 1958 and 1962 with the help of public labour under the leadership of the first Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar. Till date it is only in the category of Major District Road. He said that due to the road being narrow and in dilapidated condition, accidents keep happening every day, especially during the rainy season.

This road is the lifeline of more than three lakh rural and tribal people of Sirmaur district. Singta said that this road is also very important from religious and tourism point of view because through this lakhs of devotees and tourists reach pilgrimage places like Chudhar, Maa Bhangyani Temple and Shri Renuka Ji. Better road facility will give a new dimension to tourism, trade and agriculture. He said that this road passes through the Scheduled Tribe dominated areas of Trans-Giri region and will also benefit the tribal community of Jaunsar-Bawar of Uttarakhand. The delegation included Manch General Secretary Dr. Anil Bhardwaj, State Treasurer V.N. Bhardwaj, Advocate Ravindra Singh Thakur, Chief Spokesperson Vivek Tomar, Satpal Chauhan, Roshan Sharma, Hitendra Thakur, Anil Thakur and Sobit Thakur.
