राजकीय महाविद्यालय पांवटा साहिब में आज एंटी रैगिंग और एंटी ड्रग शपथ समारोह का आयोजन बड़े उत्साह के साथ किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम महाविद्यालय के खेल मैदान में आयोजित हुआ, जिसमें महाविद्यालय प्रशासन, शिक्षकगण और छात्र-छात्राओं ने सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाई। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ जगदीश चौहान ने की, जबकि आयोजन की कमान एंटी रैगिंग सेल के कन्वीनर प्रो. मंदीप गांधी ने संभाली। उनके साथ रिटायर्ड प्रो. रामलाल तोमर, प्रो. नंदिनी कंवर तथा डॉ. सुशील तोमर सहित सेल के अन्य सदस्य भी उपस्थित रहे।

समारोह में महाविद्यालय के सभी संकायों के छात्र-छात्राओं ने बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया और सामूहिक रूप से शपथ ली कि वे न केवल वर्तमान में, बल्कि भविष्य में भी नशे से दूर रहेंगे और दूसरों को भी इसके प्रति जागरूक करेंगे। उन्होंने समाज में फैली नशाखोरी जैसी बुराई के खिलाफ आवाज़ उठाने और इसका डटकर विरोध करने का संकल्प लिया। इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय के वरिष्ठ प्रोफेसर, सहायक प्रोफेसर तथा अन्य स्टाफ सदस्य भी उपस्थित रहे, जिन्होंने छात्रों को नशा और रैगिंग जैसी सामाजिक बुराइयों से दूर रहने के लिए प्रेरित किया। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य युवाओं को एक सकारात्मक दिशा प्रदान करना तथा महाविद्यालय परिसर को एक सुरक्षित, रचनात्मक और अनुशासित वातावरण प्रदान करना रहा।

Anti-ragging and anti-drug oath ceremony was organized with great enthusiasm in Government College Paonta Sahib today. This program was organized in the sports ground of the college, in which the college administration, teachers and students took active part. The program was presided over by the Principal of the college Dr. Jagdish Chauhan, while the command of the event was taken over by the Convener of Anti-Ragging Cell Prof. Mandeep Gandhi. Retired Prof. Ramlal Tomar, Prof. Nandini Kanwar and Dr. Sushil Tomar along with other members of the cell were also present with him.

Students from all faculties of the college participated enthusiastically in the function and collectively took an oath that they will stay away from drug abuse not only in the present but also in the future and will also make others aware of it. They pledged to raise their voice against the evil of drug abuse prevalent in the society and to oppose it strongly. On this occasion, senior professors, assistant professors and other staff members of the college were also present, who motivated the students to stay away from social evils like drug abuse and ragging. The objective of the program was to provide a positive direction to the youth and to provide a safe, creative and disciplined environment to the college campus.
