डॉ. हेडगेवार स्मारक समिति एवं मातृवन्दना संस्थान शिमला की ओर से रविवार को सोनू बंगला, शोघी के समीप वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस अवसर पर 43 सदस्यों ने सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाते हुए विभिन्न प्रजातियों के 100 से अधिक पौधे रोपे। कार्यक्रम में समिति के अध्यक्ष अजय कुमार सूद विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे।पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम के बाद जिला शिमला पर्यावरण के सह प्रमुख प्यारचंद ने वृक्षारोपण के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि वृक्ष केवल धरती की शोभा नहीं, बल्कि जीवन के आधार स्तंभ हैं। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को अपने जीवन में कम से कम एक वृक्ष अवश्य लगाना चाहिए।

उन्होंने कहा कि हिमाचल प्रदेश में बढ़ती प्राकृतिक आपदाओं का प्रमुख कारण बिगड़ता पर्यावरण है, जिसे संतुलित करने के लिए समाज के प्रत्येक वर्ग को इस प्रकार के कार्यक्रमों में भाग लेना चाहिए। पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम में गणेश दत्त, डॉक्टर हेडगेवार स्मारक समिति के सचिव नवीन चौहान, सहसचिव कर्म सिंह, कोषाध्यक्ष मुकुल सूद, मातृवन्दना पत्रिका प्रमुख डॉ. राजेश शर्मा, संस्थान के सचिव उमेश मोदगिल, कोषाध्यक्ष लेखराज, शिमला विभाग प्रमुख कुलदीप कुमार शर्मा सहित अनेक पदाधिकारी एवं सदस्य उपस्थित रहे।

On behalf of Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Committee and Matru Vandana Sansthan Shimla, a tree plantation program was organized near Sonu Bungalow, Shoghi on Sunday. On this occasion, 43 members took active part and planted more than 100 saplings of different species. Committee Chairman Ajay Kumar Sood was specially present in the program. After the plantation program, District Shimla Environment Co-Chief Pyarchand highlighted the importance of tree plantation. He said that trees are not only the beauty of the earth but are the pillars of life. Every person must plant at least one tree in his life.

He said that the main reason for increasing natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh is the deteriorating environment, to balance which every section of the society should participate in such programs. Ganesh Dutt, Secretary of Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Committee Naveen Chauhan, Joint Secretary Karm Singh, Treasurer Mukul Sood, Matrivandana magazine head Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Institute Secretary Umesh Modgil, Treasurer Lekhraj, Shimla Department Head Kuldeep Kumar Sharma and many other officials and members were present in the tree plantation program.
