सिरमौर जिले में शुक्रवार शाम से लगातार शनिवार सुबह तक जारी भारी बारिश ने जनजीवन को पूरी तरह अस्त-व्यस्त कर दिया है। इसी बारिश का कहर नाहन-कौंला वाला भूंड वाया सैनवाला रोड पर भी देखने को मिला, जहां बर्मा पापड़ी पंचायत के गुलेरिया के पास भारी भूस्खलन हो गया है। भूस्खलन के कारण सड़क का एक लंबा हिस्सा मलबे से पूरी तरह ढक गया है, जिससे इस महत्वपूर्ण मार्ग पर आवाजाही पूरी तरह से रुक गई है। इस भूस्खलन ने क्षेत्र के लोगों की मुश्किलें बढ़ा दी हैं और उनका जिला मुख्यालय नाहन से सीधा संपर्क कट गया है।

सड़क बंद होने से स्थानीय लोग भारी परेशानी का सामना कर रहे हैं। जिला मुख्यालय नाहन आने के लिए अब उन्हें कई किलोमीटर का लंबा सफर वाया सुरला और चासी बनोग होकर तय करना पड़ रहा है। लोक निर्माण विभाग की मशीनरी मौके पर नहीं पहुंच पाई थी, जिससे लोगों में प्रशासन के प्रति निराशा है। यह भूस्खलन लगातार हो रही बारिश के कारण जिले में उत्पन्न हुई दिक्कतों का एक बड़ा उदाहरण है, जिसने पूरे क्षेत्र की रफ्तार थाम दी है।

Heavy rains in Sirmaur district from Friday evening to Saturday morning have completely disrupted normal life. The havoc of this rain was also seen on Nahan-Kaunla Wala Bhund via Sainwala road, where a massive landslide has occurred near Guleria of Burma Papadi Panchayat. Due to the landslide, a long part of the road has been completely covered with debris, due to which movement on this important route has completely stopped. This landslide has increased the difficulties of the people of the area and their direct contact with the district headquarters Nahan has been cut off.

Due to the closure of the road, the local people are facing a lot of trouble. To reach the district headquarters Nahan, they now have to travel several kilometers via Surla and Chasi Banog. The machinery of the Public Works Department could not reach the spot, due to which people are disappointed with the administration. This landslide is a big example of the problems caused in the district due to continuous rain, which has halted the pace of the entire area.
