सिरमौर जिले में परिवहन विभाग ने ओवरलोडिंग और फर्जी नंबर प्लेट के खिलाफ सख्त रुख अपनाते हुए कालाअंब क्षेत्र में बड़ी कार्रवाई को अंजाम दिया। आरटीओ सोना चौहान की अगुवाई में शैम्पू फैक्ट्री, मोगीनंद के पास चलाए गए विशेष अभियान के दौरान विभाग ने दो डंपरों को पकड़ा। जांच के दौरान खुलासा हुआ कि पहले डंपर पर फर्जी नंबर प्लेट HR 45C 8181 लगाई गई थी, जबकि उसका असली रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबर HR 66B 3414 है। वाहन की तलाशी लेने पर उसमें 24 टन अतिरिक्त माल लदा हुआ मिला। इस पर परिवहन विभाग ने ₹1.37 लाख का चालान किया। वहीं मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए वाहन और उससे जुड़े दस्तावेज़ों को आगे की कार्रवाई के लिए एसएचओ कालाअंब के सुपुर्द कर दिया गया।

वहीं, दूसरी कार्रवाई में एक अन्य डंपर में 12 टन अतिरिक्त लोड पाया गया। नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर इस वाहन पर ₹94,000 का चालान किया गया। हालांकि विभाग की ओर से साफ किया गया है कि यह राशि अभी तक वसूल नहीं की गई है। इसके अलावा परिवहन विभाग ने एक कृषि ट्रैक्टर को व्यावसायिक गतिविधियों में लिप्त पाया। कृषि प्रयोजन के बजाय व्यावसायिक उपयोग किए जाने पर विभाग ने इस वाहन का भी ₹24,000 का चालान किया। आरटीओ सोना चंदेल ने कहा कि ओवरलोडिंग से न केवल सड़कों की हालत खराब होती है बल्कि इससे दुर्घटनाओं का खतरा भी कई गुना बढ़ जाता है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट चेतावनी दी कि जो भी वाहन मालिक या चालक नियमों का उल्लंघन करेंगे, उनके खिलाफ इसी तरह की कड़ी कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

In Sirmaur district, the Transport Department took a tough stand against overloading and fake number plates and carried out a major operation in Kala Amb area. During a special campaign conducted near Shampoo Factory, Moginand under the leadership of RTO Sona Chauhan, the department caught two dumpers. During the investigation, it was revealed that a fake number plate HR 45C 8181 was installed on the first dumper, while its real registration number is HR 66B 3414. On searching the vehicle, 24 tonnes of extra goods were found loaded in it. On this, the Transport Department issued a challan of ₹ 1.37 lakh. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the vehicle and its documents were handed over to SHO Kala Amb for further action.

In another action, 12 tonnes of extra load was found in another dumper. A challan of ₹ 94,000 was issued on this vehicle for violating the rules. However, it has been clarified by the department that this amount has not been recovered yet. Apart from this, the transport department found an agricultural tractor involved in commercial activities. The department also issued a challan of ₹ 24,000 for this vehicle for commercial use instead of agricultural purpose. RTO Sona Chandel said that overloading not only worsens the condition of roads but also increases the risk of accidents manifold. He clearly warned that similar strict legal action will be taken against any vehicle owner or driver who violates the rules.
