लोक निर्माण एवं शहरी विकास मंत्री विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने सोमवार को भारी बारिश से प्रभावित अपने विधानसभा शिमला ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के तहत सुन्नी थली पुल का निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान स्थानीय लोगों ने अपनी समस्याएं भी लोक निर्माण मंत्री के समक्ष रखी। मंत्री ने लोगों को आश्वासन दिया कि प्रदेश सरकार नए पुल तैयार करेगी ताकि शिमला और मंडी के बीच में संपर्क स्थापित हो सके। इसके लिए लोक निर्माण विभाग को निर्देश दे दिए गए है जो कि सुन्नी क्षेत्र के तहत घराट नाला से घांघर तक पुल के लिए साइट तलाशेंगे।

इसके बाद ही यहां पर डबल लेन पुल निर्माण कार्य का एस्टीमेट बनेगा। आलम यह है पिछले 2 दिन से लगातार हो रही बारिश से शिमला के साथ लगते सुन्नी क्षेत्र पर बने पुल पूरी तरह से क्षतिग्रस्त हो चुका था। जिसके कारण लोगों का आना-जाना मुश्किल हो गया।पूल इसलिए भी महत्वपूर्ण था क्योंकि साथ लगते जिला मंडी की लगभग 15 पंचायत की कनेक्टिविटी पूल से थी।
सतलुज नदी में लगातार पानी का स्तर बढ़ रहा है
जिसके कारण वहां के स्थानीय लोगों को लगातार परेशानी का कारण बन रहा है।

Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Monday inspected the Sunni Thali bridge under his Shimla Rural constituency, which was affected by heavy rains. During this, the local people also put forth their problems before the Public Works Minister. The minister assured the people that the state government will build a new bridge so that connectivity can be established between Shimla and Mandi. For this, instructions have been given to the Public Works Department, which will search for a site for the bridge from Gharat Nala to Ghanghar under Sunni area.

Only after this, the estimate for the construction of a double lane bridge will be made. The situation is such that due to continuous rain for the last 2 days, the bridge built in the Sunni area adjoining Shimla was completely damaged. Due to which movement of people became difficult. The bridge was also important because about 15 panchayats of the adjoining district Mandi had connectivity with the bridge.

The water level in the Sutlej river is constantly increasing

due to which the local people there are facing constant trouble.
