हथियारबंद बदमाश से पुलिस की मुठभेड़: जवाबी फायरिंग में घायल होकर पकड़ा गया हिस्ट्रीशीटर ओवैस

हरिद्वार:कोतवाली गंगनहर पुलिस की सघन चेकिंग के दौरान शनिवार रात एक बड़ी घटना उस समय सामने आई जब एक संदिग्ध बाइक सवार ने पुलिस टीम पर फायरिंग कर दी। मामला पनियाला कट क्षेत्र का है, जहां पुलिस वाहनों की नियमित जांच कर रही थी।

रात करीब साढ़े नौ बजे एक सिल्वर रंग की बुलेट (UK07 BB 9159) पर सवार युवक को पुलिस ने रुकने का इशारा किया, लेकिन वह न सिर्फ रुका नहीं बल्कि पुलिस पर फायर झोंक कर भाग निकला।

पुलिस ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए उसका पीछा शुरू किया। यह पीछा भगवानपुर हाईवे होते हुए सालियर क्षेत्र तक चला। इसी दौरान हुई मुठभेड़ में पुलिस की जवाबी कार्रवाई में बदमाश के पैर में गोली लग गई। घायल बदमाश को मौके पर दबोच लिया गया और तत्काल इलाज के लिए उसे रुड़की के संयुक्त उप जिला चिकित्सालय भेजा गया।

पुलिस ने बताया कि पकड़ा गया आरोपी ओवैस पुत्र फुरकान, निवासी पुरानी तहसील, कोतवाली गंगनहर, हरिद्वार का रहने वाला है। ओवैस गंगनहर थाने का हिस्ट्रीशीटर है और उस पर पहले से कई संगीन मुकदमे दर्ज हैं।

पुलिस अब उससे पूछताछ कर रही है कि वह रात के वक्त हथियार के साथ क्यों घूम रहा था और किस उद्देश्य से पुलिस पर फायरिंग की। वहीं, घटना के बाद पूरे इलाके में सुरक्षा और चेकिंग व्यवस्था को और कड़ा कर दिया गया है।
