पिछले दो दिनों से हो रही लगातार बारिश ने ददाहू में गिरी नदी का जलस्तर अचानक बढ़ा दिया है। तेज बहाव में गिरी उठाऊ पेयजल योजना की पंपिंग मशीनरी पानी में डूब गई, जिससे सबमर्सिबल पंपिंग सेट में पानी भरकर तकनीकी खराबी आ गई है। नतीजतन नाहन और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में पेयजल आपूर्ति बाधित हो सकती है। जल शक्ति विभाग के अधिकारियों का कहना है कि जलस्तर कम होते ही मशीनरी को बाहर निकालकर मरम्मत शुरू की जाएगी, लेकिन फिलहाल तेज बहाव के चलते पंपिंग कार्य पूरी तरह ठप है। एसडीओ रोशन लाल ने नागरिकों से पानी का उपयोग सावधानीपूर्वक करने की अपील की है, ताकि संभावित संकट को टाला जा सके। गिरी उठाऊ योजना नाहन और आसपास के क्षेत्रों की मुख्य पेयजल आपूर्ति योजना है, ऐसे में मशीनरी का डूबना आने वाले दिनों में पानी की गंभीर समस्या खड़ी कर सकता है।

The continuous rain for the last two days has suddenly increased the water level of Giri river in Dadahu. The pumping machinery of Giri Uthaau drinking water scheme got submerged in the water due to the strong current, due to which the submersible pumping set got filled with water and got technically faulty. As a result, the drinking water supply in Nahan and surrounding areas may be disrupted. Officials of the Jal Shakti Department say that as soon as the water level decreases, the machinery will be taken out and repairs will be started, but at present the pumping work is completely stalled due to the strong current. SDO Roshan Lal has appealed to the citizens to use water carefully, so that a possible crisis can be avoided. Giri Uthaau Yojana is the main drinking water supply scheme of Nahan and surrounding areas, in such a situation, the submergence of machinery can create a serious water problem in the coming days.
