उत्तराखंड में ग्लेशियर झीलों पर खतरा: धराली और ऋषिगंगा क्षेत्रों के तत्काल विश्लेषण के निर्देश

देहरादून:उत्तराखंड के मुख्य सचिव आनंद बर्द्धन ने उत्तरकाशी जिले के धराली और अन्य ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्रों में ग्लेशियर और ग्लेशियर से बनी झीलों का तत्काल वैज्ञानिक विश्लेषण कर यथास्थिति से अवगत कराने के निर्देश दिए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ग्लेशियर पिघलने से बनने वाली झीलों और उनके कारण उत्पन्न संभावित खतरों का त्वरित आकलन कर रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की जाए।

मुख्य सचिव ने विशेष रूप से धराली और ऋषिगंगा जैसे संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों को प्राथमिकता पर रखते हुए इनके विस्तृत विश्लेषण के निर्देश दिए, ताकि भविष्य में किसी भी अप्रिय घटना से जन-धन की हानि को रोका जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश के उन सभी ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्रों को चिन्हित किया जाए, जहां किसी प्रकार की झील बनने या उसके विस्तार की संभावना है।

उन्होंने इस प्रकार के निरंतर विश्लेषण के लिए उत्तराखंड स्पेस एप्लीकेशन सेंटर (यू-सैक) को नोडल एजेंसी नामित किया। साथ ही यू-सैक को सुदृढ़ करने की आवश्यकता पर बल देते हुए कहा कि यह कार्य एक सतत प्रक्रिया है, जिसमें यू-सैक की भूमिका अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है।

मुख्य सचिव ने स्पष्ट किया कि नेशनल रिमोट सेंसिंग सेंटर (NRSC), इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ रिमोट सेंसिंग सैटेलाइट (IRSS) और इसरो से समन्वय स्थापित करने का कार्य भी यू-सैक द्वारा किया जाएगा। उन्होंने अधिक ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्रों में झीलों की मॉनिटरिंग के लिए सेंसर लगाए जाने के कार्य में तेजी लाने के निर्देश दिए और इस कार्य में NIH (राष्ट्रीय जलविज्ञान संस्थान) से भी सहयोग लिए जाने की बात कही।

इस अवसर पर वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से पुलिस महानिदेशक दीपम सेठ, प्रमुख सचिव आर. के. सुधांशु, आर. मीनाक्षी सुन्दरम, सचिव शैलेश बगौली, नितेश कुमार झा, सचिन कुर्वे, पंकज कुमार पाण्डेय, युगल किशोर पंत, विनोद कुमार सुमन और गढ़वाल कमिश्नर विनय शंकर पाण्डेय उपस्थित रहे।

Danger on glacier lakes in Uttarakhand: Instructions for immediate analysis of Dharli and Rishiganga areas

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has instructed to make immediate scientific analysis of glacier and glacier lakes in Dharli and other height areas of Uttarkashi district and make them aware of the status quo. He nominated Uttarakhand Space Application Center (U-CAC) as Nodal Agency for this type of continuous analysis. At the same time, emphasizing the need to strengthen U-CAC, said that this work is a continuous process, in which the role of U-CAC is very important. The Chief Secretary clarified that the National Remote Sensing Center (NRSC), Institute of Remote Sensing Satellite (IRSS) and coordination with ISROThe work of installing will also be done by U-SAC. He instructed to expedite the work of installing sensors for monitoring lakes in high altitude areas and also asked to cooperate with NIH (National Institute of Water Sciences) in this work.
