रविवार को मुख्यमंत्री आवास स्थित कैंप कार्यालय में रुद्रप्रयाग जिले के त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव में नवनिर्वाचित जनप्रतिनिधियों ने विधायक भरत सिंह चौधरी के नेतृत्व में मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी जनप्रतिनिधियों को उनकी जीत पर शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि अब सभी का यह दायित्व है कि वे जनता की अपेक्षाओं पर खरा उतरें। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें मिलकर राज्य और विशेषकर ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के विकास के लिए समर्पित भाव से कार्य करना होगा।

मुख्यमंत्री ने पंचायतों को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने पर विशेष बल देते हुए कहा कि जब गांव मजबूत होंगे, तभी उत्तराखण्ड राज्य भी मजबूत होगा। उन्होंने जनप्रतिनिधियों से अपील की कि वे अपने क्षेत्रों में विकास की गति को और तेज करें और उत्तराखण्ड को अग्रणी राज्य बनाने में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाएं।
