प्रदेश के सबसे बड़े अस्पताल आईजीएमसी में अब मरीजों और उनके साथ आने वाले परिजनों की मदद के लिए एनसीसी और स्वयंसेवक सारथी की भूमिका निभाएंगे। राज्य सरकार की इस महत्वाकांक्षी योजना सारथी का विधिवत शुभारंभ 5 अगस्त को मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू करेंगें । आईजीएमसी के चिकित्सा अधीक्षक डॉ राहुल राय ने जानकारी दी है कि इस योजना के अंतर्गत एनएसएस और एनसीसी के विद्यार्थी प्रत्येक दिन प्रात 9:30 बजे से दोपहर 1:00 बजे तक अपनी सेवाएं देंगे। स्वयंसेवक मरीजों की ओपीडी पंजीकरण कक्ष, जांच विभागों तथा अन्य चिकित्सा इकाइयों तक मरीजों को पहुंचने में सहायता करेंगे। यह योजना पीजीआई चंडीगढ़ की तर्ज पर शुरू की जा रही है जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य अस्पतालों में आने वाले रोगियों को समुचित मार्गदर्शन सुविधा और सहायता प्रदान करना है। क्योंकि आए दिन देखा जाता है की आईजीएमसी में दूर दराज से इलाज करने के लिए आते हैं जानकारी के अभाव के कारण उन्हें इधर-उधर भटकना पड़ता है। उन लोगों ने लिए यह सारथी योजना हितकारक होगी।

Now in the state’s largest hospital IGMC, NCC and volunteers will play the role of Sarathi to help the patients and their family members. This ambitious scheme of the state government, Sarathi, will be formally launched by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on August 5. IGMC Medical Superintendent Dr. Rahul Rai has informed that under this scheme, NSS and NCC students will provide their services every day from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. Volunteers will help patients reach OPD registration room, investigation departments and other medical units. This scheme is being started on the lines of PGI Chandigarh, the main objective of which is to provide proper guidance, facilities and assistance to the patients coming to the hospitals. Because it is seen every day that people come to IGMC from far off places for treatment, due to lack of information, they have to wander here and there. This Sarathi scheme will be beneficial for those people.
