पांवटा साहिब विधानसभा क्षेत्र की जनता की आवाज़ बनकर निरंतर सक्रिय रहने वाली नगर आपूर्ति निगम की निदेशक नसीमा बेगम ने एक बार फिर जनसेवा की एक सराहनीय मिसाल पेश की है। क्षेत्र के सिंघपुरा गांव की सड़क की जर्जर हालत को लेकर स्थानीय लोगों में लंबे समय से नाराजगी थी। जैसे ही यह जानकारी नसीमा बेगम को मिली, वे स्वयं मौके पर पहुंचीं और स्थानीय नागरिकों के साथ मिलकर स्थिति का निरीक्षण किया। निरीक्षण के बाद उन्होंने संबंधित प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों से तत्काल संपर्क साधा और सड़क मरम्मत कार्य को प्राथमिकता के आधार पर शुरू करवाया।

सिर्फ सड़क ही नहीं, इस दौरे के दौरान नसीमा बेगम ने क्षेत्रवासियों की अन्य समस्याओं को भी गंभीरता से सुना और आश्वस्त किया कि सभी मुद्दों को सरकार के समक्ष मजबूती से रखा जाएगा, ताकि समाधान शीघ्र सुनिश्चित हो सके। स्थानीय जनता ने उनके इस प्रयास की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि “नसीमा बेगम जैसी प्रतिनिधि ही वास्तव में जनता की सच्ची हितैषी होती हैं।
