उत्तराखंड में एक बार फिर मौसम का मिज़ाज बिगड़ने वाला है। मौसम विभाग ने 3 और 4 अगस्त के लिए भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश का ऑरेंज अलर्ट जारी किया है। इस चेतावनी के बाद राज्य का प्रशासन और आपदा प्रबंधन टीमें अलर्ट मोड पर आ गई हैं।

मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक, आने वाले दो दिनों में पहाड़ी इलाकों में भारी बारिश के साथ आकाशीय बिजली गिरने और भूस्खलन की भी प्रबल आशंका है। खासतौर पर चारधाम मार्गों पर यात्रा कर रहे श्रद्धालुओं को सतर्क रहने की सलाह दी गई है। प्रशासन ने साफ कहा है कि अगर बेहद जरूरी न हो तो लोग घरों से बाहर न निकलें।

बारिश का असर सिर्फ पहाड़ों तक ही सीमित नहीं रहेगा, इसका असर मैदानी इलाकों तक दिखेगा। नदियों का जलस्तर बढ़ने से बाढ़ जैसे हालात बन सकते हैं, खासकर गंगा और उसकी सहायक नदियों के किनारे बसे इलाकों में।

दो अगस्त को जोशीमठ के पास हेलंग में एक बड़ा हादसा हुआ, जब टीएचडीसी बैराज के पास डैम साइट पर अचानक पहाड़ी से चट्टानें गिरने लगीं। मजदूरों ने किसी तरह भागकर जान बचाई, लेकिन कई लोग घायल हुए जिन्हें इलाज के लिए नजदीकी अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया।

चारधाम यात्रा पर फिर से संकट के बादल मंडरा रहे हैं। पहले भी केदारनाथ यात्रा को बारिश के चलते तीन दिन के लिए रोकना पड़ा था। श्रद्धालु कई बार बीच रास्ते में फंस जाते हैं, जिससे पुलिस और एसडीआरएफ को रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन चलाना पड़ता है।

सरकारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, 16 जुलाई तक राज्य में बारिश और आपदाओं के कारण 25 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है, जबकि 8 लोग अभी भी लापता हैं।
