प्रदेश सरकार ने नशे की रोकथाम के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है। पुलिस में भर्ती से पहले सिंथेटिक ड्रग का डोप टेस्ट करवाना जरूरी होगा। मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने बताया कि राज्य सरकार नशे की रोकथाम के लिए गंभीरता से कम कर रही है। सभी नई कर्मचारियों को शपथ पत्र देना होगा कि वह चिट्ठे का सेवन नहीं करते हैं। राज्य सरकार पुलिस में सुधार के लिए भी दिशा में भी काम कर रही है, हर जिला में नशा मुक्ति केंद्र खोलने का फैसला लिया गया है। इसके लिए 14.95 करोड रुपए मंजूर किए गए हैं, नशे की रोकथाम के लिए पुलिस कांस्टेबल के साथ आशा कार्यकर्ता और पंचायत सहायक की टीम में गठित होगी।

The state government has taken important steps to prevent drug abuse. Before recruitment in the police, it will be necessary to undergo dope test for synthetic drugs. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government is taking it seriously to prevent drug abuse. All new employees will have to give an affidavit that they do not consume drugs. The state government is also working towards reforming the police; it has been decided to open de-addiction centres in every district. Rs. 14.95 crore has been sanctioned for this. To prevent drug abuse, a team of Asha workers and Panchayat assistants will be formed along with police constables.
