मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू के नेतृत्व में चल रही इस योजना से कच्चे मकानों में रहने वाले आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवारों को सुरक्षित मकान मिल रहे हैं। प्रदेश की भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों, भारी बरसात और बर्फबारी को देखते हुए यह योजना जरूरतमंदों के लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। भुंगरनी पंचायत की 78 वर्षीय मलकीत कौर पहले जर्जर कच्चे मकान में रहती थीं, जिसकी दीवारें बारिश में टूट जाती थीं और छत से पानी टपकता था। बेटे और पति की मृत्यु के बाद वह आर्थिक रूप से पूरी तरह असहाय थीं। पंचायत सचिव से जानकारी मिलने के बाद उन्होंने योजना में आवेदन किया। मुख्यमंत्री आवास योजना से उन्हें 1.50 लाख रुपये की राशि तीन किस्तों में मिली। मनरेगा मजदूरी की मदद से उन्होंने अपना पक्का घर पूरा किया। मलकीत कौर ने कहा कि इस योजना ने उनके जीवन में सुरक्षा और सम्मान का अहसास कराया है। उन्होंने सरकार और मुख्यमंत्री का आभार जताया।

This scheme, being run under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, is providing safe houses to economically weaker families living in kutcha houses. Considering the geographical conditions of the state, heavy rainfall and snowfall, this scheme is very important for the needy. 78-year-old Malkit Kaur of Bhungarni Panchayat earlier lived in a dilapidated kutcha house, whose walls used to break in the rain and water used to drip from the roof. After the death of her son and husband, she was completely helpless financially. After getting information from the Panchayat Secretary, she applied for the scheme. She received an amount of Rs 1.50 lakh in three installments from the Chief Minister Housing Scheme. With the help of MNREGA wages, she completed her pucca house. Malkit Kaur said that this scheme has given her a feeling of security and respect in her life. She expressed gratitude to the government and the Chief Minister.
