हिमाचल प्रदेश के चंबा जिले के उपायुक्त मुकेश रेपसवाल ने बताया कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण और स्वच्छता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए हिमाचल प्रदेश नॉन-बायोडिग्रेडेबल गारबेज (कंट्रोल) एक्ट 1995 के तहत यह आदेश जारी किए गए हैं। यात्रा मार्ग पर अब सभी वाणिज्यिक और लघु संस्थानों को क्यूआर कोड वाले पैक्ड प्रोडक्ट्स ही बेचने की अनुमति होगी। जिला प्रशासन ने रैपिड्यू टेक्नोलॉजीज प्राइवेट लिमिटेड और हीलिंग हिमालयस फाउंडेशन के साथ त्रिपक्षीय समझौता किया है। इसके तहत थोक विक्रेताओं, दुकानदारों, होटलों, होमस्टे और रेस्तरां मालिकों को क्यूआर कोड उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे। बिना क्यूआर कोड वाले पैक्ड प्रोडक्ट्स बेचने वालों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी। भरमौर से डल झील तक रिसाईकल और हीलिंग हिमालयस फाउंडेशन द्वारा डिपॉजिट रिफंड काउंटर स्थापित किए जाएंगे। यात्री इन काउंटरों पर क्यूआर कोड वाली बोतलें या रैपर जमा कर अपनी डिपॉजिट राशि वापस प्राप्त कर सकेंगे।

Mukesh Repaswal, Deputy Commissioner of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, said that these orders have been issued under the Himachal Pradesh Non-Biodegradable Garbage (Control) Act 1995 to ensure environmental protection and cleanliness. Now all commercial and small institutions on the travel route will be allowed to sell only packaged products with QR code. The district administration has entered into a tripartite agreement with Rapidew Technologies Private Limited and Healing Himalayas Foundation. Under this, QR codes will be made available to wholesalers, shopkeepers, hotels, homestays and restaurant owners. Strict action will be taken against those selling packaged products without QR code. Deposit refund counters will be set up by Recycle and Healing Himalayas Foundation from Bharmour to Dal Lake. Travelers will be able to get their deposit amount back by depositing bottles or wrappers with QR code at these counters.
