पांवटा साहिब में स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर आयोजित होने वाले उपमंडल स्तरीय समारोह की तैयारियों को लेकर आज एसडीएम कार्यालय पांवटा साहिब के सभागार में बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए एसडीएम पाँवटा साहिब गुंजीत सिंह चीमा ने बताया कि पूर्व की भाँति इस वर्ष स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह नगर पालिका मैदान में धूमधाम के साथ मनाया जाएगा। इस दौरान मौजूद उपमंडल स्तरीय अधिकारियों के साथ समारोह को सफल बनाने के उद्देश्य से विस्तृत चर्चा की गई। बैठक के दौरान उन्होंने सभी विभागों के अधिकारियों को निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह के अवसर पर उन्हें दी गई जिम्मेवारी को वह पूर्ण दायित्व के साथ निभाएं ताकि स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह का आयोजन सफलतापूर्वक किया जा सके।एसडीएम पाँवटा साहिब ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि स्वंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर मुख्यातिथि शहीद स्मारक पांवटा साहिब में शहीदों को पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर श्रद्धांजलि देगें। इसके पश्चात मुख्यातिथि द्वारा ध्वजारोहण कर, मार्च पास्ट की सलामी ली जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि इस अवसर पर निजी तथा सरकारी स्कूलों के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम भी प्रस्तुत किए जाएंगे।
उन्होंने ने बताया कि इस अवसर पर शहीदों के परिजनों को सम्मानित किया जाएगा, साथ ही उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले व्यक्तियों, गोताखोरों सहित सामाजिक संगठनों को भी कार्यक्रम के दौरान सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

A meeting was held in the auditorium of SDM office Paonta Sahib today regarding the preparations for the sub-division level celebrations to be held on the occasion of Independence Day in Paonta Sahib. While chairing the meeting, SDM Paonta Sahib Gunjit Singh Cheema said that like before, this year Independence Day celebrations will be celebrated with great pomp in Nagar Palika Ground. During this, a detailed discussion was held with the sub-division level officers present with the aim of making the celebrations successful. During the meeting, he instructed the officers of all the departments to fulfill the responsibility given to them on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations with full responsibility so that the Independence Day celebrations can be organized successfully. Giving information, SDM Paonta Sahib said that on the occasion of Independence Day, the chief guest will pay tribute to the martyrs by offering flowers at Shaheed Smarak Paonta Sahib. After this, the chief guest will hoist the flag and take the salute of the march past. He said that on this occasion, colourful cultural programmes will also be presented by the students of private and government schools.

He said that on this occasion, the families of the martyrs will be honoured, along with people doing excellent work, divers and social organisations will also be honoured during the programme.
