सोशल मीडिया पर झूठे आरोप लगाकर पैसे वसूलने और आम लोगों को जान से मारने की धमकी देने वाले चर्चित आरोपी बिरजू मयाल को पुलिस ने सोमवार को मंडी गेट के पास रामपुर रोड हाइवे, हल्द्वानी से गिरफ्तार कर लिया। आरोपी के खिलाफ एक के बाद एक कई गंभीर धाराओं में एफआईआर दर्ज की गई हैं।

तीन अलग-अलग शिकायतों के आधार पर FIR दर्ज:

राकेश नैनवाल (निवासी ग्राम ढिकुली) ने थाने में तहरीर दी कि बिरजू मयाल ने उनके साथ अभद्र भाषा का प्रयोग करते हुए जान से मारने की धमकी दी।
✔ FIR No. 279/25, धारा 351(3)/352 BNS के अंतर्गत मामला दर्ज किया गया।

दिनेश मेहरा (निवासी शिवलालपुर, रामनगर) ने बताया कि बिरजू मयाल ने उनसे ₹10,000 की मांग की और पैसे न देने पर गाली-गलौज व जान से मारने की धमकी दी।
✔ FIR No. 280/25, धारा 308(2)/351(3) BNS के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया।

नीमा देवी (निवासी भरतपुरी, रामनगर) ने शिकायत दी कि 13 जुलाई को बिरजू मयाल और उसकी पत्नी के झगड़े के दौरान जब उन्होंने बीच-बचाव किया तो मयाल ने उनके साथ गाली-गलौज करते हुए छेड़छाड़ की और जान से मारने की धमकी दी।
✔ FIR No. 281/25, धारा 74/115(2)/351(3)/352 BNS के अंतर्गत मुकदमा दर्ज हुआ।

आरोपी का आपराधिक इतिहास भी रहा है दागदार:

FIR No. 135/25 – धारा 115/352/351(2) BNS, कोतवाली रामनगर

FIR No. 64/21 – धारा 323/504/506 IPC व SC/ST एक्ट, थाना कालाढूंगी

FIR No. 109/22 – धारा 323/353/427/447/504/506 IPC, थाना कालाढूंगी

पुलिस ने बताया कि बिरजू मयाल सोशल मीडिया पर निराधार आरोप लगाकर लोगों को बदनाम करता था और ब्लैकमेलिंग कर वसूली करता था। उसकी गिरफ्तारी मुखबिर की सूचना पर की गई। आरोपी के खिलाफ पहले से ही कई संगीन मुकदमे दर्ज हैं और जांच जारी है।

👉 पुलिस प्रशासन ने नागरिकों से अपील की है कि सोशल मीडिया पर अफवाह फैलाने वालों से सतर्क रहें और ऐसी किसी भी गतिविधि की सूचना तुरंत संबंधित थाने को दें।
