डॉ. वाईएस परमार मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल में मरीजों को टेस्ट करवाने के लिए खासी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी। रविवार काे अवकाश का दिन होने के चलते सरकारी लैब भी बंद थी। ऐसे में करीब चार घंटे तक मरीज परेशान रहे। दोपहर बाद मशीन चालू हुई। दरअसल, मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन स्थित क्रस्ना लैब की बायोकेमिस्ट्री मशीन सुबह करीब 10:30 बजे खराब हो गई। ऐसे में दोपहर बाद तक मरीजों को मेजर टेस्ट जैसे एलएफटी, आरएफटी और अन्य टेस्ट की सुविधा नहीं मिल पाई। हालांकि लैब कर्मचारियों की ओर से मरीजों के सैंपल लिए गए, लेकिन रिपोर्ट के लिए दूसरे दिन की बात कही गई। दोपहर 2:30 बजे के करीब मशीन को ठीक करवाया गया, लेकिन तब तक कुछ मरीज अस्पताल से लौट चुके थे। सूचना मिलने के बाद मेडिकल कॉलेज प्रबंधन की ओर से मशीन को जल्द ठीक करवाने के लिए निर्देश जारी किए गए। कॉलेज के प्रधानाचार्य स्वयं भी मौके पर पहुंचे।

चंडीगढ़ से तकनीशियन को बुलवाया गया। दोपहर बाद मशीन को ठीक करके पुन: टेस्ट सुविधा शुरू की गई। सरकारी लैब में सुबह 9 से दोपहर 1 बजे तक टेस्ट सुविधा का प्रावधान है, जबकि क्रस्ना लैब में 24 घंटे सेवाएं दी जाती हैं। मेडिकल कॉलेज जिले का सबसे बड़ा स्वास्थ्य संस्थान हैं। रोजाना औसतन 1 हजार से 1200 तक की ओपीडी रहती है। यहां पर सिरमौर के अलावा नारायणगढ़, सोलन आदि से मरीज उपचार के लिए पहुंचते हैं। इन दिनों मौसम के परिवर्तन के चलते खांसी, जुकाम, बुखार, वायरल संक्रमण के मामले आ रहे हैं। ऐसे में मरीजों को सामान्य टेस्ट भी चिकित्सकों की ओर से लिखे जा रहे हैं। क्रस्ना लैब प्रभारी ने बताया कि तकनीकी खराबी के चलते रविवार को मशीन खराब हो गई थी, तुरंत तकनीशियन को बुलाकर इसे दुरुस्त किया गया। दोपहर बाद लैब में सभी प्रकार के टेस्ट हुए।

Patients had to struggle a lot to get tested at Dr. YS Parmar Medical College and Hospital. The government lab was also closed as Sunday was a holiday. In such a situation, patients were troubled for about four hours. The machine started working in the afternoon. Actually, the biochemistry machine of Krasna Lab located in Medical College Nahan got damaged at around 10:30 in the morning. In such a situation, patients were not able to get the facility of major tests like LFT, RFT and other tests till afternoon. Although the lab staff took samples of the patients, but the report was told to be done the next day. The machine was repaired around 2:30 in the afternoon, but by then some patients had returned from the hospital. After receiving the information, instructions were issued by the medical college management to get the machine repaired soon. The principal of the college also reached the spot himself.

A technician was called from Chandigarh. The machine was repaired in the afternoon and the test facility was started again. There is a provision of test facility in the government lab from 9 am to 1 pm, while services are provided 24 hours in the Krasna lab. Medical college is the biggest health institution of the district. On an average, there is an OPD of 1 thousand to 1200 daily. Apart from Sirmaur, patients from Narayangarh, Solan etc. come here for treatment. These days, due to change in weather, cases of cough, cold, fever, viral infection are coming. In such a situation, general tests are also being prescribed to the patients by the doctors. The Krasna lab in-charge said that the machine broke down on Sunday due to technical fault, immediately a technician was called and it was repaired. All types of tests were conducted in the lab in the afternoon.
