पुलिस थाना पुरुवाला के अंतर्गत पुलिस टीम ने नारीवाला क्षेत्र में गश्त व यातायात जांच के दौरान एक महिला से 6 लीटर अवैध देशी शराब बरामद करने में सफलता प्राप्त की है। यह कार्रवाई उस समय की गई जब पुलिस नेशनल हाईवे-707 पर नियमित जांच अभियान चला रही थी। पुलिस से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, गश्त के दौरान एक महिला सफेद-नीले रंग का कैरी बैग लेकर सड़क की ओर आते हुए दिखी। पुलिस टीम को देखते ही महिला घबरा गई और बैग नीचे फेंक कर पीछे हट गई। पुलिस ने संदेह के आधार पर उसे मौके पर ही रोक लिया और पूछताछ की।महिला की पहचान रूपा देवी, निवासी गांव नारायणगढ़ (नारीवाला), डाकघर निहालगढ़, तहसील पांवटा साहिब, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई है। जब पुलिस ने बैग की तलाशी ली, तो उसमें 6 लीटर अवैध देशी शराब पाई गई।पुलिस ने महिला के विरुद्ध हिमाचल प्रदेश आबकारी अधिनियम के तहत थाना पुरुवाला में मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।

The police team under Police Station Puruwala has succeeded in recovering 6 liters of illegal country liquor from a woman during patrolling and traffic checking in Nariwala area. This action was taken when the police was conducting a regular checking campaign on National Highway-707. According to the information received from the police, during patrolling, a woman was seen coming towards the road with a white-blue carry bag. On seeing the police team, the woman got nervous and threw the bag down and retreated. On the basis of suspicion, the police stopped her on the spot and interrogated her. The woman has been identified as Rupa Devi, resident of village Narayangarh (Nariwala), Post Office Nihalgarh, Tehsil Paonta Sahib, District Sirmaur. When the police searched the bag, 6 liters of illegal country liquor was found in it. The police has registered a case against the woman under the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act at Police Station Puruwala and started investigation.
