उत्तराखंड में मौसम ने एक बार फिर करवट ली है। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग, देहरादून द्वारा जारी चेतावनी के अनुसार, सोमवार 28 जुलाई को पिथौरागढ़ समेत राज्य के कई इलाकों में भारी से बहुत भारी वर्षा के आसार हैं। साथ ही गरज-चमक के साथ आकाशीय बिजली गिरने की भी संभावना जताई गई है।

इस गंभीर मौसम पूर्वानुमान को देखते हुए पिथौरागढ़ जिला प्रशासन ने एहतियातन बड़ा फैसला लिया है। जिलाधिकारी विनोद गोस्वामी ने जानकारी दी कि 28 जुलाई को जनपद के सभी शासकीय, अशासकीय व निजी स्कूलों के साथ-साथ समस्त आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र बंद रहेंगे। यह निर्णय विद्यार्थियों और छोटे बच्चों की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए लिया गया है।

हालांकि, त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत सामान्य निर्वाचन-2025 के द्वितीय चरण के मतदान को लेकर जिन विद्यालयों को मतदान केंद्र के रूप में चिन्हित किया गया है, वे खुले रहेंगे। जिलाधिकारी ने सभी संबंधित अधिकारियों—मुख्य शिक्षा अधिकारी, जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी, खंड शिक्षा अधिकारी—को निर्देश दिए हैं कि आदेश का कड़ाई से पालन सुनिश्चित किया जाए।

प्रशासन ने आमजन से अपील की है कि मौसम को देखते हुए अनावश्यक रूप से घर से बाहर न निकलें और सुरक्षित स्थानों पर ही रहें।
