प्रदेश सरकार ने स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को और अधिक सशक्त और प्रभावी बनाने की दिशा में एक अहम कदम उठाया है। मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू की पहल पर तकनीकी स्वास्थ्य कर्मचारियों के मासिक मानदेय में भारी वृद्धि की गई है। साथ ही, राज्य के प्रमुख चिकित्सा संस्थानों में तकनीकी कोर्स की सीटें भी बढ़ाई गई हैं, जिससे प्रदेश के युवाओं को मेडिकल फील्ड में रोजगार के बेहतर अवसर मिल सकेंगे।राज्य सरकार के प्रवक्ता ने जानकारी दी कि ऑपरेशन थियेटर सहायकों का मानदेय 7,180 रुपये बढ़ाकर अब 25,000 रुपये प्रतिमाह कर दिया गया है, जो पहले 17,820 रुपये था। इसके अतिरिक्त, रेडियोग्राफर और एक्स-रे तकनीशियनों का मानदेय लगभग दोगुना करते हुए 13,100 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 25,000 रुपये किया गया है।

वर्तमान में ऑपरेशन थियेटर सहायकों के 382 स्वीकृत पदों में से 226 रिक्त हैं, जबकि रेडियोग्राफर और एक्स-रे तकनीशियनों के 282 स्वीकृत पदों में से 129 पद खाली हैं। प्रवक्ता के अनुसार, कम मानदेय के चलते योग्य तकनीकी विशेषज्ञ सरकारी सेवा में रुचि नहीं दिखा रहे थे। यह निर्णय न केवल स्वास्थ्य संस्थानों में स्टाफ की कमी को दूर करेगा, बल्कि मरीजों को भी समय पर और बेहतर सेवाएं मिलेंगी। प्रवक्ता ने यह भी बताया कि तकनीकी कर्मचारियों की ट्रेनिंग के अवसर बढ़ाने के लिए शिमला स्थित इंदिरा गांधी मेडिकल कॉलेज (IGMC) और टांडा स्थित डॉ. राजेंद्र प्रसाद मेडिकल कॉलेज में B.Sc. लेबोरेटरी टेक्नीक, रेडियोलॉजी, एनेस्थीसिया और OT टेक्नीक कोर्स की सीटें बढ़ा दी गई हैं।IGMC में अब इन कोर्सेज की सीटें 10 से बढ़ाकर 50 कर दी गई हैं, जबकि टांडा कॉलेज में 18 से बढ़ाकर 50 सीटें कर दी गई हैं। इससे प्रदेश के विद्यार्थियों को राज्य में ही गुणवत्तापूर्ण प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त करने का अवसर मिलेगा। राज्य सरकार के इस फैसले से न केवल स्वास्थ्य विभाग को सुदृढ़ करने में मदद मिलेगी, बल्कि यह कदम युवा पीढ़ी के लिए एक सशक्त भविष्य की दिशा में भी मील का पत्थर साबित होगा।

The state government has taken an important step towards making health services more strong and effective. On the initiative of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the monthly honorarium of technical health workers has been increased substantially. Along with this, the number of seats for technical courses have also been increased in the major medical institutions of the state, which will provide better employment opportunities to the youth of the state in the medical field. A spokesperson of the state government informed that the honorarium of operation theater assistants has been increased by Rs 7,180 to Rs 25,000 per month, which was earlier Rs 17,820. Apart from this, the honorarium of radiographers and X-ray technicians has been almost doubled from Rs 13,100 to Rs 25,000.

At present, out of 382 sanctioned posts of Operation Theatre Assistants, 226 are vacant, while out of 282 sanctioned posts of Radiographers and X-Ray Technicians, 129 posts are vacant. According to the spokesperson, qualified technical experts were not showing interest in government service due to low honorarium. This decision will not only overcome the shortage of staff in health institutions, but patients will also get timely and better services. The spokesperson also informed that to increase the training opportunities of technical staff, seats for B.Sc. Laboratory Technique, Radiology, Anesthesia and OT Technique courses have been increased in Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Shimla and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College Tanda. In IGMC, the seats for these courses have now been increased from 10 to 50, while in Tanda College the seats have been increased from 18 to 50. This will give the students of the state an opportunity to receive quality training within the state itself. This decision of the state government will not only help in strengthening the health department, but this step will also prove to be a milestone towards a stronger future for the young generation.
