पाँवटा साहिब में जिला शतरंज एसोसिएशन द्वारा 30 जुलाई 2025 को अंडर-13 एवं अंडर-19, पुरुष एवं महिला वर्ग, राज्य स्तरीय चयन शतरंज प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन द एशियन स्कूल, पाँवटा साहिब में किया जाएगा। यह जानकारी जिला शतरंज एसोसिएशन की अध्यक्षा शैलजा ठाकुर ने दी। उन्होंने बताया कि इस प्रतियोगिता में जिला भर के खिलाड़ी अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन करेंगे व बताया कि प्रतियोगिता के लिए पंजीकरण की प्रक्रिया आरंभ कर दी गई है। गूगल फाॅर्म के माध्यम से प्रतिभागी अपना पंजीकरण करवा सकते हैं। यह प्रतियोगिता दो श्रेणियों में आयोजित करवाई जाएगी। ओपन श्रेणी में लड़का व लड़की दोनों भाग ले सकते हैं। जबकि दूसरी श्रेणी में केवल लड़कियाँ ही भाग ले सकती हैं। इस प्रतियोगिता के दोनों श्रेणियों के दो-दो विजेता खिलाड़ी अंडर-13 एवं अंडर-19 राज्य स्तरीय शतरंज प्रतियोगिता में जिला सिरमौर का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे। शैलजा ठाकुर ने बताया कि इस राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में दोनों श्रेणियों में शीर्ष 3-3 खिलाड़ियों को पुरस्कृत भी किया जाएगा। सिरमौर के खिलाड़ियों से इस प्रतियोगिता में बढ़-चढ़ कर भाग लेने का आह्वाहन किया है।

The District Chess Association in Paonta Sahib will organize the Under-13 and Under-19, Men and Women category, State Level Selection Chess Competition on 30 July 2025 at The Asian School, Paonta Sahib. This information was given by Shailaja Thakur, President of the District Chess Association. She informed that players from all over the district will showcase their talent in this competition and informed that the registration process for the competition has been started. Participants can register themselves through Google Form. This competition will be organized in two categories. Both boys and girls can participate in the open category. Whereas only girls can participate in the second category. Two winning players each from both the categories of this competition will represent Sirmaur district in the Under-13 and Under-19 state level chess competition. Shailaja Thakur informed that in this state level competition, top 3-3 players in both the categories will also be awarded. The players of Sirmaur have been urged to participate enthusiastically in this competition.
