उपनिदेशक कृषि सिरमौर राजकुमार ने बताया कि जिले के किसान प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना के अंतर्गत मक्की और धान की फसलों का बीमा अब 31 जुलाई, 2025 तक करवा सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि इन फसलों का बीमा करवा कर किसान फसलों की बुआई से लेकर कटाई तक, प्राकृतिक आपदाओं जैसे सूखा, बाढ़, सैलाब, प्राकृतिक आग, भूमि कटाव आदि के जोखिम से फसलों को सुरक्षित कर सकते हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त फसल कटाई के उपरांत दो सप्ताह तक होने वाले नुकसान तथा स्थानीयकृत आपदाओं से होने वाले नुकसानों की भी भरपाई की जा सकती है। फसल बीमा से संबंधित कोई भी जानकारी प्राप्त करनी हो तो नजदीकी कृषि कार्यालय अथवा कृषि बीमा कंपनी के प्रतिनिधि से संपर्क कर सकते हैं। नाहन खंड के किसान 98166-40065, पच्छाद में 94598-15765, रेणुका और शिलाई में 86298-08485 तथा पांवटा साहिब में 82192-82290 पर जानकारी ले सकते हैं।

Deputy Director Agriculture Sirmaur Rajkumar said that the farmers of the district can now get the maize and paddy crops insured under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana till July 31, 2025. He said that by getting these crops insured, farmers can protect the crops from the risk of natural disasters like drought, flood, inundation, natural fire, land erosion etc. from sowing to harvesting. Apart from this, losses occurring for two weeks after harvesting and losses caused by localized disasters can also be compensated.
