पीएम श्री छात्र राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय पांवटा साहिब में आज एंटी सेक्सुअल हैरेसमेंट कमेटी द्वारा एक जागरूकता सेमिनार का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में लीगल सेल के एडवाइजर संजीव कुमार को बतौर रिसोर्स पर्सन आमंत्रित किया गया। उन्होंने छात्रों को पास्को एक्ट, चाइल्ड मैरिज एक्ट तथा यौन उत्पीड़न से जुड़े कानूनी प्रावधानों की जानकारी दी। श्री कुमार ने विद्यार्थियों को यह भी बताया कि यदि उन्हें किसी प्रकार की परेशानी हो तो वे अपने अध्यापकों या कमेटी के सदस्यों से संपर्क कर सकते हैं, जिससे समय रहते उचित कार्रवाई की जा सके।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान विद्यालय के अध्यापकों ने भी इस गंभीर विषय पर अपने विचार साझा किए। सेमिनार के समापन पर विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य डॉ. प्रेमपाल ठाकुर ने ‘गुड टच और बैड टच’ की अवधारणा पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को सजग रहने की सलाह दी और कहा कि किसी भी गलत व्यवहार की जानकारी तुरंत विद्यालय और परिजनों को अवश्य दें। इस अवसर पर कमेटी की नोडल ऑफिसर नीलम राणा, मीनाक्षी शर्मा, सुमति शर्मा, गीतांजलि, जसकीरत, मनमोहन सिंह, गौरव , सुनीता तोमर सहित लगभग 150 विद्यार्थी व समस्त स्टाफ सदस्य उपस्थित रहे।

An awareness seminar was organized by the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee today in PM Shri Chhatra Government Senior Secondary School Paonta Sahib. Legal Cell Advisor Sanjeev Kumar was invited as a resource person in the program. He informed the students about the legal provisions related to POCSO Act, Child Marriage Act and sexual harassment. Mr. Kumar also told the students that if they have any kind of problem, they can contact their teachers or committee members, so that appropriate action can be taken in time.

During the program, the teachers of the school also shared their views on this serious subject. At the end of the seminar, the Principal of the school, Dr. Prempal Thakur, threw light on the concept of ‘good touch and bad touch’. He advised the students to be vigilant and said that any wrong behavior must be immediately reported to the school and family members. On this occasion, committee nodal officer Neelam Rana, Meenakshi Sharma, Sumati Sharma, Geetanjali, Jaskirat, Manmohan Singh, Gaurav, Sunita Tomar along with about 150 students and all staff members were present.
