सिरमौर जिला के प्रसिद्ध शिवधाम पौड़ी वाला (आम वाला) में 23 जुलाई 2025 को श्रावण शिवरात्रि के पावन अवसर पर विशाल भंडारे का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इस दौरान हजारों श्रद्धालु हरियाणा व हिमाचल के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से यहां पहुंचकर स्वंयभू शिवलिंग पर गंगाजल से जलाभिषेक करेंगे। श्रावण माह भगवान भोलेनाथ को समर्पित माना जाता है। इस दौरान शिवभक्त कांवड़ यात्रा पर निकलते हैं और हरिद्वार से पवित्र गंगाजल लाकर शिवलिंग पर अर्पित करते हैं। पौड़ी वाला शिवधाम को ‘स्वर्ग की दूसरी सीढ़ी’ कहा जाता है और यहाँ श्रावण शिवरात्रि पर विशेष आस्था और भीड़ देखी जाती है।

श्री पंच दशनाम अखाड़ा के महंत श्री श्री 108 नागा बाबा कर्ण गिरी महाराज ने बताया कि श्रावण शिवरात्रि के दिन विशेष जलाभिषेक, पूजन-अर्चन और भंडारे का आयोजन किया जाएगा, जिसमें सभी श्रद्धालुओं को आमंत्रित किया गया है। धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, श्रावण माह की कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्दशी को ही भगवान शिव ने समुद्र मंथन के दौरान निकले कालकूट विष का पान किया था। विष के प्रभाव को शांत करने के लिए देवताओं ने भगवान शिव का अभिषेक किया, इसी स्मृति में श्रावण शिवरात्रि मनाई जाती है।

A huge feast will be organized on the auspicious occasion of Shravan Shivratri on 23 July 2025 at the famous Shivdham Pauri Wala (Aam Wala) of Sirmaur district. During this time, thousands of devotees will reach here from various areas of Haryana and Himachal and will perform Jalabhishek with Ganga water on the self-manifested Shivling. The month of Shravan is considered to be dedicated to Lord Bholenath. During this time, Shiva devotees go on Kanwar Yatra and bring holy Ganga water from Haridwar and offer it on the Shivling. Pauri Wala Shivdham is called the ‘second step to heaven’ and special faith and crowd is seen here on Shravan Shivratri.

Mahant Shri Shri 108 Naga Baba Karna Giri Maharaj of Shri Panch Dashnam Akhara said that on the day of Shravan Shivaratri, special Jalabhishek, Puja-Archan and Bhandara will be organized, in which all the devotees have been invited. According to religious belief, Lord Shiva drank the poison Kalakuta that came out during the Samudra Manthan on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha of Shravan month. To calm the effect of the poison, the gods anointed Lord Shiva, in memory of this, Shravan Shivaratri is celebrated.
