जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब उपमंडल के पुरूवाला क्षेत्र में एक दर्दनाक हादसे ने सभी को झकझोर कर रख दिया। सड़क के बीचों-बीच खड़े बिजली के खंभे से बाइक की टक्कर हो गई, जिसमें 24 वर्षीय युवक सनवर अली की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई जबकि उसका भाई गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया।मृतक युवक भगवानपुर का रहने वाला था और मिस्त्री का कार्य करता था। बताया जा रहा है कि कुछ माह पूर्व ही उसकी शादी हुई थी। हादसे के समय वह अपने भाई के साथ काम से घर लौट रहा था।

स्थानीय लोगों का आरोप है कि यह हादसा बिजली बोर्ड और लोक निर्माण विभाग की घोर लापरवाही के कारण हुआ है। जब सड़क चौड़ी की जा रही थी तो खतरनाक स्थिति में बीच सड़क पर बिजली के खंभे क्यों छोड़ दिए गए? लोगों का कहना है कि यदि समय रहते इन खंभों को हटाया गया होता, तो यह हादसा टाला जा सकता था। अब सवाल उठता है कि विभागों के बीच समन्वय की कमी क्यों रही और इस लापरवाही की जवाबदेही कौन लेगा? हादसे के बाद क्षेत्र में आक्रोश का माहौल है। ग्रामीणों ने प्रशासन से दोषी अधिकारियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई और सड़क पर खतरनाक खंभों को तत्काल हटाने की मांग की है।

A tragic accident in Puruwala area of Paonta Sahib subdivision of Sirmaur district has shocked everyone. A bike collided with an electric pole standing in the middle of the road, in which 24-year-old Sanwar Ali died on the spot while his brother was seriously injured. The deceased youth was a resident of Bhagwanpur and worked as a mechanic. It is being told that he got married a few months ago. At the time of the accident, he was returning home from work with his brother.

Local people allege that this accident has happened due to the gross negligence of the Electricity Board and the Public Works Department. When the road was being widened, why were the electric poles left in the middle of the road in a dangerous condition? People say that if these poles had been removed in time, this accident could have been avoided. Now The question arises that why there was lack of coordination between the departments and who will take responsibility for this negligence? There is an atmosphere of anger in the area after the accident. The villagers have demanded strict action against the guilty officials and immediate removal of dangerous pillars on the road from the administration.
