जिला चंबा की मैला पंचायत के चडी गांव के सूताह क्षेत्र में सोमवार तड़के एक दर्दनाक हादसा पेश आया, जिसमें नवविवाहित दंपति की मौत हो गई। तेज बारिश के चलते पहाड़ी से अचानक आए मलबे और पत्थरों ने एक मकान को पूरी तरह तहस-नहस कर दिया। उसी मकान में रह रहे सनी और उनकी पत्नी पल्लू मलबे में दब गए और मौके पर ही उनकी जान चली गई। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, पल्लू करीब 5 दिन पहले अपने मायके आई थी और सनी रविवार को ही पत्नी को साथ ले जाने के लिए ससुराल आया था। लेकिन सोमवार तड़के करीब 3 से 4 बजे के बीच भारी बारिश के कारण अचानक पानी और चट्टानों का सैलाब मकान पर आ गिरा, जिससे यह भीषण हादसा हुआ। स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से दोनों को मलबे से बाहर निकाला गया और चंबा मेडिकल कॉलेज पहुंचाया गया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया। पोस्टमार्टम के बाद शव परिजनों को सौंप दिए गए। इस दुखद घटना के बाद पूरे गांव में मातम पसरा हुआ है। वहीं, जिला प्रशासन ने लगातार हो रही बारिश को देखते हुए लोगों से नदी-नालों और भूस्खलन संभावित क्षेत्रों से दूर रहने की अपील की है।

Sunny and his wife Pallu, living in the same house, got buried under the debris and died on the spot. According to the information received, Pallu had come to her maternal home about 5 days ago and Sunny had come to his in-laws’ house on Sunday to take his wife with him. But due to heavy rain between 3 and 4 o’clock in the morning on Monday, a sudden flood of water and rocks fell on the house, causing this horrific accident. With the help of local people, both were pulled out of the debris and taken to Chamba Medical College, where doctors declared them dead. After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family. There is mourning in the entire village after this tragic incident. At the same time, the district administration has appealed to the people to stay away from rivers, streams and landslide prone areas in view of the continuous rain.
